Good afternoon Carl, try a "Glaze" of Black Treacle on the Method, it comes in a Tin, but I've poured it into a Squeezy bottle, And - It's Cheap (we all like "Cheap")

The "Black & Blue" Preston Bander, works better than Your, Metal spiked one, It has a reduced spigot on the end, so the Band, can't, Ride Up. I've used both and the Preston one is much better !!
