When it comes to tog, it's probably best to measure your success by the way they tasted last time you had them, they can be frustrating lol, great video Man!
HAHA funny you mention that! I just saw the fox the other site, I have to edit another tautog video and I brought it up in the video! There are a few that hang around the inlet, they are hilarious to watch.
Nice video per usual. I’m not sure when you took this video but have had basically no luck at all in 3 weeks for tog. Just a couple nice bites.. may try again in the next few days
@ yeah I was thinking about going today but figured It wouldn’t be worth. That was a lot of rain. Plus temps in the 40s and strong winds are never a good day
Think for fishing video keep up with the great work and I been watching all of your videos and I will be back down there next summer and have a safe trip
Short answer yes kind of, long answer.....you need a boat to get to the better spots. Under the 90 and 50 bridges are good. February is when everything shuts off and fishing stops. Species wise, it's slim pickings but there are rockfish that stay almost all year.
No, sorry. As of now I only sell them on my website. My wife was talking about getting a booth some year. Maybe we will in the next few years. It's an awesome show!
@@jonsgoatedtv1898 It doesn't rub against the rocks. Keep your line tight and hold your rod in your hand. I've never seen 20 feet of leader, not on shore or even offshore wreck fishing....seems a bit excessive but to each their own.
Hi Jay! Nice blackfish vid! I’m a local fisherman too- just moved here full time. Mostly been doing freshwater fishing videos. My salt water vids are from charters so I’m really interested in your video series which I’ll watch to learn salt water fishing in the area. My channel is “Bayside Angler”. Happy NY, tight lines and I look forward meeting you while fishing sometime! Brian
Thanks for another great video bro!... I think I am gonna try a variant of that Rig next time I am there but put my own spin on it!
I hope you guys have an amazing Christmas. Hope you are enjoying time with your family
Thanks Melvin! Merry Christmas to you!

They are frustrating for sure!! Every time you think you have them figured out, they let you know you don't!
👍😃🎄
Thanks for the mention. My wife and daughter think I'm famous now!!!!
Hahaha great meeting you!
Hey Jay you should go out looking for fox 🦊 in the evening. My kids love driving down coastal highway looking for the local foxes running around .

This was last week. I tried today....too windy and the water was turned up from the rain yesterday.

Tides4fishing says the water is at 49 degrees. Till next year. Merry Chiristmas to you and yours!
It could be now, usually my videos are filmed a week prior.
@@ReelJayB When you filmed, the water was above 50, I believe

Is bay fishing good year round in OC, or is there a time of the year when fishing is not so good ?

Great drone photography! Do you need a pilots license in OCMD/Maryland for drones? Just wondering.
Thanks! And yes, you need a license.
Love using my Royal Farms rewards, got 2 buckets of chicken free!
yes!!!
Will you be at the outdoor show in harrisburg, pa in feb 2025 with your rigs???
No, sorry. As of now I only sell them on my website. My wife was talking about getting a booth some year. Maybe we will in the next few years. It's an awesome show!
Forgot which drone you have
DJI Mavic Air 2
thats some pretty short leader my man
Yup! I don't use long leader for tog, it will get hung up in the rocks.
@@ReelJayB why would you rather have your braid banging up against the rocks? best tog fisherman i know use like 20 ft of leader
