hi i dont know if u ever see this but give me a tip.. im about to get these calipers for my golf 5 gti with 350x32 discs my wheels are 18x8,5 ET 40 do i need a spacer? tyres are almost touching the fenders and im scared about putting spacers...
there is more pedal travel with these calipers. just as long as you get a good bleed then it will work ok. they have massive braking power when using a good pad. but on the downside the track pads create allot of brake dust. only certain wheels will fit over these massive calipers. i would recommend upgrading the rear brakes as well to even out the brake bias. i think the cayenne 17z's would be easier to afford and to use. the 18z's are almost too much for my gti.
i havent upgraded the master cylinder. im sure these 6 pots are too much for the stock one but its gonna have to work for now. im gonna put on golf r rear brakes soon to even out the braking bias. i bought the calipers from ecstuning.
@porscheautobahn Do you have pics of your car with the brakes+ultraleggeras on? I'm in the most difficult phase right now, choosing between the Ultra's and Superturismos. Cheers
Hi 4926marko, i already have the cayenne calipers 17z, but i am not sure if i can put this calipers using my rear stocks brakes, is a gti mk6, many thanks for answer, very nice brakes you have there =)
Hi, is this the Matt graphite silver version? I have a VW golf VII indium gray and I can’t decide what color could fit better my car ...the graphite or the titanium? =/
I was just trying to figure out if my 18x8 Superleggeras will fit over my new 18z. Your video answers the question. THANKS!!!!!!!!!
Nice one thanks for the quick reply. How do you find the brakes? Did you upgrade the master cylinder etc?
Hi I'm buying oz ultraleggera 19x8.5 et 47. Can you tell me if I would be able to mount those rims without a spacer with 17z calipers?
