Is it common for the women of your generation to want men, even in long-term relationships, to pull out? This was completely unknown to my generation, except for women using rhythm method, as an extra precaution. Which is to say, rare. I'm a boomer and I had a millennial lover a few years ago, and he was surprised that I was shocked the first time, because he pulled out and came on my back. I had a terrible reaction. I felt like a porn actress and it made me go cold and I felt really demeaned. We talked and he didn't after that. I thought he did it because his last girlfriend wouldn't use any birth control. It's not a sensible method, and they ended up in an abortion clinic. But I'm hearing you talk about semen as something disgusting, which I find really surprising and a bit confusing. Is this how a lot of women your age feel? And how do your lovers feel about you being grossed out by their normal bodily fluids? And this means the men have to leave the warm body they're making love with, and have their orgasm in the sudden cold. This doesn't sound very pleasant to me, nor very intimate. I want to be so wrapped up in one another that every sensation is shared. I don't get this, but I'm not judging, just curious.
I'm about to turn 66 and have retired from love and sex because I now just want to do my work and not have to deal with a lover, because relationships are too much work and I am not interested anymore. I love being alone and working in my studio without anyone wanting or needing me. I still have lovely sex, I just don't issue invitations to join me! I forgot to say that it seems to me that easy access to unlimited porn is a huge factor in how people are now approaching sex. One of you mentioned worrying that a partner might judge the size of your labia. That is a thought that has never once entered my head. Never have I had to consider anything like that, and I really think your whole generation may be suffering from anxieties about sex that previous generations have never felt, because of internet porn. I am wondering how you navigate so many kinds of judgment being laid upon you.
