Everything you said in this video was on point, especially for startups! As someone who has worked for both, there are obvious differences in the workplace 💯
Glad to hear that. We made sure to highlight the important points. Thank you for tuning in and subscribing to my channel. Stay tuned for more tutorials and insights!
Another awesome video TJ 🙏 really like the short concise appreciation segment at the beginning. And again, I really enjoy your straight to the point minimalistic style
Appreciate it, Lance! Glad you liked how I presented this. Thank you for tuning in and subscribing to my channel. Stay tuned for more tutorials and insights!
Thank you for the pros and cons. I only have big company experience and thought it was strange that I had a lot of downtime but I guess it's common. My coworkers never complained and would sometimes delay tasks since there wasn't a tight deadline.
@@rootstechnology Lol I definitely felt on edge whenever upper management was around! It was great having extra time to develop my skills though I had to be careful not letting it show.
Thank you for this video! I have an interview with the CTO for a start up this week! It’s for a technical writing position but not software engineering position. However, I do have some programming experience with html, css, JavaScript, Python, and sql. I just want to get my foot in the door of the tech world
@@rootstechnology Thanks for responding! I completed my interview with the start up. It was my first start up interview experience and I can say compared to the other interviews I had in the past, this one was definitely fast paced and less procedural. I could sense the urgency because their product release is in 2 months!
This is excellent stuff - the amount of jobseekers and even emploees who are ignorant about these differences is staggering! Startup vs Established is like chalk vs cheese.
thank you for your valuable content one bit of advice try to work on your sound quality by recording it with a condenser mic there are a lot of options but the best one and the simplest option is a usb condenser mic all the best to you
Will do! Thank you for the suggestion! This is an older video so hopefully my latest videos still don't have that issue. Thanks for tuning in and subscribing!
what you are saying here applies also to any other IT role . Small companies are the best place to start your IT career - You learn a lot in a very short period of time , and work under a lot of pressure which is good - but you only realise that when you go elsewhere - As Always you on point on this other topic T .J , keep it up .
@@rootstechnology hello , good video . If I am working in a startup , do you think it’s advisable for me to always recommend services to my manager or what’s your opinion?

Yeah, I actually hated that about big companies. Not having work to do made me scared like I was doing something wrong lol
