every telugu person knows the name of savitri including me but people of my generation didnt know her story to this extent i was in tears after this movie ended. the guy GEMINI GANESAN is a huge tamil star and one of his two daughters is rekha a huge bollywood veteran
fun fact DQ is not native to the language but he dubbed his own voice for the character and made it believable
The real Gemini ganesan is Tamil so DQ in this movie need use both the Languages perfectly. DQ is Very good,hardworking handsome man❤

Special mention to mickey jmayer for his music composition. It conveys every emotion in this movie. classic of Telugu cinema ❣️
the text at the last says savithri garu after being in coma for 18 months departed on dec 28. she didi more than 300 films in 5 languages. we got many heroines after savithri garu also but savithri garu is the only mahanati we have (mahanati is the title for savithri garu).

How did you guys miss the shot where director reveals shankarayya is the statue that savitri often visit relating it to her father in the childhood.

Guys you should consider watching Mayabazar, one of the biggestTelugu classics, Savitri was the lead & scenes were recreated in Mahanati, the scenes where she imitated the older actor, as it's a fantasy movie where at some point a god takes her appearance and pretends to be her. It would be great to see reactions to older classics on the channel 😊

It was a great homage to Savitri ji. Gemini is actually not a good character but irl he actually took care of all of his children from all of his wives and gave them a live instead of leaving them

but if we observe carefully, we can understand that The statue is whom she imagines as her dad is "Shankarayya"

She is indeed a great actress after 1940s and 1950s great actress P.Kannamba. In this movie, the director included some untrue things. Gemini Ganesan has been shown as a villain. Of course everyone will agree that he made many mistakes as far as Savithri is concerned. But Not to the extent the director has shown in it. He was questioned and criticised by Tamil media. He brazenly said that as it is Savithri's Biopic, I did include some scenes which makes Gemini Ganesh a cruel character. Watch movies of Saritha another Great actress like P. Kannamba, Savithri. Movie: Agni Satchi (Tamil) Agni sakshi (Telugu). The Director of that film, Shri K. Balachandar (considered the legendary director of all South Indians) said Saritha is the greatest actress of Indian Cinema, particularly referring to a scene wherein she picturised in close focus for continuously for five minutes capturing her facial expressions. He said wouldn't have dared to take that shot if it was anyone else. I did it only because of Saritha. So watch that movie about a married lady's life, who is affected by Schizophrenia. Other real actresses are 1. actress Saradha (First Urvashi Awardee i.e. Indian National Best Actress Award) (movie Kunkhumam with Sivaji Ganesan and 1960s hit movie, another 1980s Telugu movie 'Nyayam Kaavali' both available on UA-cam) 2. Sujatha ( movie : Aval Oru Thodar Kadai) 3. Sri Vidya (movie : Apoorva Raagangal). 4. Shobha 5. Urvashi (movie: Micheal Madhana Kama Raja, Hit comedy)

If you guys like the acting of Keerthy Suresh so much than you should watch her 2022 Tamil movie Saani Kaayidham. She has acted so well in that movie as well and i feel that is her best acting performance which has been ignored while giving National awards for 2021-22.
