One commenter mentioned Pharrell already but of the top of my head there is that Exile song Indestructible with Flo Rida, PKCZ with Method Man, J Soul Brothers with Slash, Ryuji Imaichi with Brian McKnight, Atsushi's several times collab with Boyz II Men, ldh relationship with Afrojack, and that time when Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers produced songs for project taro in NY. I think most of their western connections lie with dancers/choreographers (see united dance nation in funk jungle)
