I got a 97 cummins 12 valve, 5 speed 4x4 that I brought back from the dead. I bought it for $1800 and sank about 8 grand in parts so far. I run diesel fuel from the newest station in town, and use a quart of Ashley’s 2 stroke oil per tank.

I met a guy that poured his old motor oil over silica beads and they helped absorb all the really little carbon bits and traces of water. Cool stuff.
