I well remember as a little kid back around 1955, my family would gather around the radio and listen to Jolly Polly on WMSN in Raleigh play all of Patsy Cline's fantastic music. She's immortal, in my book.
I remember listening to this beautiful lady’s voice when I was a child I’m now 73yrs old and am still listening to her in 2024 her voice is amazing and timeless people will still be listening to her in another 50yrs time 💕🎵
I was always "in love" with Patsy even as a kid. She died when I was 11 years old. Oddly enough, I also really liked Jim Reeves at the same time. I knew they had completed a duet album together the same year he died, which was about a year after Patsy passed... also in a tragic plane crash. Thank God we have these wonderful recordings to remember them by.
We're the same (baby boomer) generation. I'm nearing 70 and cut teeth listening to Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Connie Francis and Dean Martin. I would add Faron Young and perhaps George Morgan to round out the BEST 6 singers ever to record. Best regards to you.
Man, I gotta have my daily dose of Patsy and then some, I never get bored. I sang in choir for 8 years and just enjoy singing along. I'm addicted to Patsy ❤
"Someday You'll Want Me to Want You" - (February 1963/September 1974) - performed by Patsy Cline - dubbed by newcomer Alison MacKenzie of the Cheers, Family Ties, Friends and Fletch fame featuring The Jordanaires. Strings arranged and conducted by Bill McElhiney for Mercury Nashville. (C)1994 PolyGram Records, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Courtesy of Mercury Nashville under license from Universal Music Group.
This is a blues, country and pop performance all rolled into one if I ever heard one, ...that was the difference between Patsy Cline and other country singers singin' through their nose....she had great chops, and style and she appealed to everyone...there is this warm heart coming through that no one else today seems to be able to duplicate. She was about the song, the story, the lyrics, and not herself, when she sang. That's the ticket, that's what music is supposed to be about. and you can't get any better than the Jordanaires.
I know that someday, you'll want me to want you When I'm in love with somebody new You expect me to be true, and keep on loving you Tho' I am feeling blue, you think I can't forget you Until someday you'll want me to want you When I am strong for somebody else And although you don't want me now, I'll get along somehow And then I won't want you I know that someday, you're gonna want me to want you When I am strong for somebody else And although you don't want me now, I'm gonna get along somehow And then I won't want you I won't want you And then I won't want you
I believe that the only woman singer that could have been as good had she chosen to switch genres would have been Whitney Houston her voice was as powerful and beautiful
I could too. Sometimes my wife thinks I'm crazy for playing the same song over and over. Patsy was incomparable...and I don't believe there will ever be another female voice as good. She was gifted beyond measure.
@@PatsyClinesDaughter Yeah, I'm just thinking about the good part of heroin, not the whole experience. Glad to hear that you have been off of it. Stay smart and best wishes to ya.
The tone of her voice is simply unmatched. Once in a lifetime voice.
Absolutely sir a rare gem and the jordanaires compliment pasty so well ❤❤❤.

She had a wonderful voice and she said that when she sang she broke our hearts. She did. Such a shame that she died so young. What a talent!
Her voice just is so soothing
all of her songs are so relatable
Noone And I Mean Noone /Female Singer/Artist Will Ever Surpass R Even Come Close To Pasty Cline! The Best Of The Best!😊
I agree, and I’m a rock guy.
This hits hard 😢
Ikr at the last chorus my eyes always start burning
Her and Elvis top of the list
And both backed by The Jordanaires and the rest of the Nashville A Team of musicians .
she was soooo good
Englebert is an amazing and talented artist. He is so passionate and his voice is a testament to the music industry. I listen to all his songs
Beautiful
Man I really miss this kind of music. She was and is still my favorite all time female singer.
I know that someday, you'll want me to want you
When I'm in love with somebody new
You expect me to be true, and keep on loving you
Tho' I am feeling blue, you think I can't forget you
Until someday you'll want me to want you

So nice❤
Someday I let that day go by my lost
I love this song! 💖
This was my mothers favorite song. She knew Patsy and was devastated when her life was taken from us.
💗
2023 heard this from the film the novice I'm hooked
My pap wrote this song an his friend sold it to Patsy and he never saw a doller .
Was it true she shot her husband ?
My mother used to sing this while my father was getting ready to go out ballroom dancing. Not a good memory.
Hi, I had to message you. I am sorry this isn't a good memory for you. 🙂
It needs not be "not a good memory“.
@@chiyuenlee5345 Still a great song and still enjoy it.
Modern music sounds like dog crap compared to this.
Her vocals, I imagine, are like heroin.
I’m 4 1/2 years into my recovery from Heroin- everything about her is a lot better 💖💖💖
