This is my favorite concert they’ve ever done

I feel like watered down as the one commenter said is actually pretty correct. All concerts outside of this one was very much scaled down. very few had a choir. majority did not have any exotic instruments. The one i went to only had the standard orchestral instruments and a koto. It limits the songs they will play and if a song involves one of them, they just play the track which does lessen the experience.
You could say yea it would be too expensive, and i wasn't expecting something as grand as this show, but with how many billions they make i was hoping they would put in more effort in their shows. Hoyo has seem to really neglect the NA region for things (personal experience at cons here in NA). I have read a comment on the LA show where they claim their mother was in the orchestra, who only got to look at the sheet music 7 days before the show, and only got to rehearse for the first time 4 hours before the show. Sadly it showed during the event with multiple times the players were out of sync with each other, and audio mixing being off a lot. I still very much enjoyed being there but i desperately hope they learn and improve their foreign shows.

46:51 Yep, that was my exact same reaction the first time I heard this song, and every time I listen to it. The key change, the incredible swell, the guitar coming in, it just all is an incredible peak for the song to hit before winding down to a beautiful ending. Easily one of the best songs made for Genshin, was my long-time favorite until the Furina story quest took it over.

Just speaking to the live concert tour, there are two, maybe three different orchestras involved and at least two conductors so its tough to have the same playlist for each. That's even without getting the guest musicians for things like the erhu, koto, shakuhachi, shamisen, etc. So for instance i know that LA didn't have a shakuhachi but we did at the NYC concert.

I think the low rumble in overlord of the thunderstorm is a bassoon playing very low, low notes on double reeds have a natural rumble which makes it controlled, a brass or saxophone making that rumble wouldn’t be as consistent or have a harsher tone
That's why i was leaning so hard in that direction. The tone alone only made sense as a bassoon. It's so characteristic

1:44:23 I have a copy of the score and it's definitely written like that. It is a quarter rest followed by 4 bar rests, however in the OST, it is only 3 bar rests.

On the importance of having enough mics and a good mixing. Recently, after not having watched Opera for 10 or 15 years, I figured I should give it another try, and I went with my grandma to a live retransmission from the Metropolitan Opera of Nabucco (written by Verdi). And during the whole performance, I was disappointed by the sound being significantly worse than what I'm used to with Genshin. The orchestra didn't have one mic per instrument - and while some mics could have been well-hidden, I would have at least seen the mics attached to the violins if they had those, and they didn't. And there were no visible mic on either the scene or the opera singers either.
After that experience, I don't think I'll ever want to see another retransmission from the Metropolitan Opera. I still want to give classic Opera an honest chance, but I guess I'll have to watch a real live performance instead of a retransmission (which tend to be *a lot* more expensive), because I don't trust Opera Houses to have high recording quality anymore.
