I have to say, I really like both the cover and the original. I think Cure gave me a really cool musical experience, unlike other covers. The singers were able to bring different dynamics and a different sense of the story to the characters by essentially having the same base. It's great when the material can be presented with such different atmospheres. No matter who sang it, the song has a very strong emotional impact. Both versions are fantastic. I feel that Mizi and Sua's version is more intimate. It's a song where you know how it ends: a final conversation between two lovers, full of sadness and resignation to the inevitable. It's a situation where we have no control over the circumstances and we have to accept the hard reality. It's as if we're the audience, watching them have a quiet conversation. I think it's easy for many of us to picture them singing this while looking at each other. It's really sad. Till and Ivan's version is a desperate cry from both of them, something that was kept locked away and burst out. Till's grief-stricken and his cry of losing an important figure in his life, and Ivan's cry of wanting to be seen. It's not that “notice me” in the literal sense of understanding the expression, but rather “notice me behind the shroud of your sorrow and reverie, for I am always there at your side.” I've seen a lot of comments where people focus on how loud Ivan is singing about his feelings, but they forget that Till is also very emotional in this song. I just wanted to point that out. They both scream in their song, but they're screaming about different things, which is also sad.
I find so sad that in the MiziSua art they are staring directly into their eyes cause they always see each other, while in the IvanTill one they are looking at different directions because Till never saw Ivan :(
