The heart of the story was NOT Sophie and Sky's wedding, it was Donna reuniting with the one true love of her life 20 years later. Their happy ending made me tear up...not Sophie and Sky.
I don't understand why some people criticize this film, especially Pierce Brosnan's singing. I love this film and all the songs so much! Everything's brilliantly done. I enjoy Peirce's singing voice too, he sings with emotion and he's an amazing actor. And I am very glad to see that many people in the comment section here feel the same way

Sure, he doesn't have the vocal ability to play Erik or Jean Valjean, but his voice fits perfectly this role. Honestly, their realistic and down to earth approach is one of the things that make this musical so relatable. Imperfect, real and emotional, a mature man serenading his long lost love.

Isn't Meryl's part from 1:25 to 1:50 so magical? It is so beautiful and sad at the same time because of the lyrics, and with that and her gorgeous voice = ✨amazing✨
Pierce is an immensely talented actor. During his long career he has played many characters and Sam is very far from James Bond but demonstrates the ability of the great actor. As for singing, I love hearing Mr. Brosnan's voice. I live in Italy and I like to see all of his films in their original English language precisely because I love his voice. And I like the way he sings.
