Technically this isn't an interfaith couple. They're just Hindu and Muslim by name and live a very secular life. It would have been more compelling if Vice picked out an actual interfaith couple where both actually practice their religions.
I don't mean to be offensive, but it goes against Islamic practice to marry a Hindu or other polytheist. It's not a case of being culturally frowned upon, it's actually scripturally forbidden. So a practising Muslim who marries a Hindu would be committing a major sin and their marriage would be considered invalid.

Serious question here. If you are in an interfaith marriage and you want to have children. How do you decide with which religion you are going to raise them? Saying A or B would obviously be wrong because either parent would want to raise the child with their own beliefs and religion. Also, saying you would want to raise them with both religions would be more correct but still extremely difficult if the religions in question are very different from each other.
@@rafaankarbelkar7640 This maybe the case in middle class but upper class/rich people doesn't care about that. Children mostly follow either both the religions or become mostly irreligious performing rituals just for some showoff.

But ratio of Hindu men marrying Muslim women is 1:100 in comparison to Muslim men marrying Hindu women.
The explanation is very easy
1) Muslim women are hardly allowed to go outside.
2)They are forced to wear Burkha and are not allowed to interact with others
Even if above two things don't happen and lets say the Hindu boy gets in relationship with Muslim girl,
Both are threatened with life from girl's family and if decide to ignore them, eventually the boys throat is slitted. This has happened so many time that people have lost count.
So stop with your bullsh** propaganda.

I applaud them. However, it would make more sense if Shweta converted to Zoroastrianism. It's one of the oldest monotheistic religions that practiced in India. Zoroastrians actually pray 5 times a day just as Muslims do. That way, she could be of a different religion and be on par with her husband, Salman.
