I saw this performed at warped tour this year in front of maybe 20 people in front of a trailer trying to play over someone in the back. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed. I wept.

i totally relate the song my GF is half the world away we've been apart for 2 years because i've messed up so much with my studies so she had to wait for me although we met in Australia almost 3 months ago and now i'm about to get my diploma finally i hope we can get along together once more !!! thank you for this beautiful song !!! i've just discovered the band btw !! :D

Have been listening to this version for years. And I still cannot get enough. The power of the lyrics and to see the power in his performance. I cannot wait to see him keep growing as an artist. What a powerful song
His voice was so rough when he started this project but he's definitely improved and refined is voice. I really enjoyed this version.

Zack Well, I've tried playing it in both Standard and Half step. The latter sounds closer to the recording imo
Probably because it’s out of tune!
In the recording he has a capo on fret 2. So if you wanted to play to the song, have the guitar in standard tuning with a capo on fret 2 (just go watch the music vid and you’ll see)

Ik it's a travel guitar, but John is so damn tall and lanky
It's an Art & Lutherie AMI guitar. 100% Canadian made guitar. It's a parlor size. I've owned one myself for years and it's my favorite guitar I own. Easy and fun to play. When I sit on my couch it always finds its way onto my lap. My buddy loved mine so much he bought one himself.
I met him in Southampton a few weeks ago and we we stood back to back. Same size. So he's like 6'6"-ish.
