I have done this and my monitor only shows my console when it is turned on. The monitor is not able to bring up my windows of my tower like how you are showing on video. I am assuming Ill need more than one hdmi port to get this to work?
@@Xeltrix so how I have the set up hdmi from console plugged into the elgato in port, the usbc plugged in from the elgato to a usb 3.0 spot into the tower. Then from the out port on the elgato I have an hdmi plugged in to the monitor. When I do that my windows from the monitor is not showing so I cannot have obs or elgato to come up however when I turn on my console (in this case my PS4) it will come up just as I would hook up and hdmi from the console to the monitor.
@@ZDP_Gaming the way I got it setup is that I have one of the HDMI’s going from my computer to my monitor not touching the capture card (not attached to it). Then I have an hdmi going from my console to the capture card. I put it in the IN port but left the OUT one without an hdmi. Should work
to talk to your friend while in a party chat you'll need a second mic. I use my main mic, a blue yeti, for recording. I reccomend you use an old headset or an existing mic you have laying around to talk to your friends
You’ll need two microphones. One for you to be able to talk into for the pc and one for the console itself. It should pick up on recording if you do it right
This used to work for me but now it doesn’t anymore and my hdmi settings are correct and HDCP is off , and the Elgato is fine since I tested other devices and it works - do you have any other tips ?
You just need the hdmi cable going from your Xbox to the capture card. It’ll load on the pc. Atleast that’s what I do. I don’t have to use the hdmi out option
this is so helpful, im trying to do this soon - purchasing the Elgato tonight. Was wondering, your stream can hear you through the headset mic correct? as well as your party chat? Does the stream also pickup the game audio?
while using an elgato I use my Mic on my headset for party chat to communicate to friends. Then for my stream to hear me I use a blue yeti. The elgato pics up game audio along with party chat audio, but will not pick up your audio if your connected to the party. Using 2 mics works out best for me.
It could be the USB C. Sometimes it acts weird. I found that recently mine had caused power surges so it mostly depends on the cord itself. If you plugged in the hdmi to your console then it should read fine.
My bad for it being vertical everyone! Was recording on my phone and forgot
Hello, I play on PS5 how do I get rid of the Live capture delay ?

You need an hdmi going from your pc to your monitor alongside a hdmi going from your console to the capture card.

@@Xeltrix that makes sense thank you I will try this out
does ur moniter have to have 2 hdm1 ports for the pc and console or just 1 for the pc
Question: is it possible to do the reverse? Can I show what’s happening on my pc on my tv?
So if i want to include audio/party chat i need a second mic?

Can this work with OBS?
brother thank you so much you helped me ❤❤❤
Do you know how to get it to hear the party

So is this posssible with a monitor with 2 hdmi cables and how many cable should be in my xbox and monitor when doing this ?
You just need the hdmi cable going from your Xbox to the capture card. It’ll load on the pc. Atleast that’s what I do. I don’t have to use the hdmi out option
Keep the hdmi going from your pc to your monitor and the Xbox hdmi going into the capture card
@@Xeltrix The thing is I only have a xbox , 1 monitor and a pc.Do I need something else for it to work ?
@@thatboyeezz nope just the two HDMI’s should work for it
@@Xeltrix but don’t I still need the hdmi in the graphics card in the pc to be connect to the monitor
How is the input delay is it like playing regularly through the ps4 or is it delayed
Input delay for me isn’t really noticeable. For me it’s basically the same as if I were playing on my ps4/ps5
