Celinde shows here that she can sing OPERA...!!! Not many Broadway stars can claim that. I'm a singer myself a tenor 1 boarder line contralto. And i yes i know my range for a man is extensive so i've been told. I've sung with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and many other 100 voice professional choir groups. Celinde range is excellent she has an "operatic" tone and quality that distinguishes her from many other Broadway sopranos.
Celinde and Sierra Boggess i'm sorry Sierra if i didn't spell your last name right. Anyway they will ALWAYS be THE BEST christine daae in my humble and honest opinion. I've seen this musical a total of 5 times now. With 5 different phantoms and 5 different christines. Crawford and Brightman were my first. Then i saw it with Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess, then with John Owen-Jones and i can't remember the girl who played christine. And finally it was with Anthony Warlow what a difference his baritone voice made to this part. Considering Weber wrote it specifically for a tenor to sing. He was UNBELIEVABLY good folks...!!! HOWEVER, i have to say pairing Celinde with Ben Forster was NOT a good pairing. She is FAR more professionally trained then he is. She out sings him in every possible way. I'm not saying he doesn't have a good voice it's just he wasn't made to play the part of the phantom sorry Ben.
I mean, for a musical theatre singer, it's pretty damn good. You could be picky and say that yeah, her Italian isn't great and nor is her coloratura but she's not advertising herself as a classical artist...
I had no idea she sang classical music. I love you even more, Celinde!
Oh my goodness! Celinde Schoenmaker plus opera! Can life get any better?
Beautiful lady and beautiful voice !!!! Love her.
Whoever disliked this. Shame on you! This beautiful lady has one of the most incredible voices I have ever heard. :)

Imagine she is singing with Ben Lewis.
