In this weekly episode of our books related premium show, Kitabwala, Saurabh Dwivedi interviewed actor and author Manav Kaul on his novel, “Titali” published by Hind Yugm. This conversation revolves around the delicacy of the characters and dealing with death, full with deeply complex incidents, this Kitabwala has touched so many sensitive emotions of a human life. The plot of the story is set outside India where Manav met a lady and decided to write this novel.
About the Author:-
Manav Kaul is a celebrated actor and author who made his acting debut in Hindi cinema with fantasy film 'Jajantaram Mamantaram' in 2003, he was also seen in "Saina Nehwal Biopic'. His Last Netflix release "Ajeeb Dastaans", his major release this year is Finding Anamika in which he will be seen opposite to Madhuri Dixit. Manav is writing for last 20 years, but his intensive writing has come to picture in last 6 years. Manav is author of 10 books so far, Theek Tumhare Peeche, Prem Kabootar, Tumhare Baare Mein, Bahut Door, Kitna Door Hota Hai, Chalta-Phirta Pret, Antima, Karta Ne Karm Se, Shirt Ka Teesra Batan, Rooh and Titali.

I have been a fan of Manav Kaul's writing. His writing is full of love and life. There is something in his writing which make you fall in love with life. I think his work resembles with Nirmal Verma..and that is another thing to be loved about him.

I met Manav Kaul in Indore 10 days after the Titli came to the world. Had conversation with him and what a lovely man he is. He is too honest in real life. The way he show himself in his writing, he is same in person. He even said during the meet मैं अपने जिए में नहीं अपने लिखे में हूं❤️

I feel blessed that I cud meet Manav Kaul twice within one year. First time in March 2022 when he was shooting in Noida for his some web series or film. I got a chance to click a photo with him. Secon time I met him in book fair in Delhi recently and again able to click a photo with him. Very down to earth person Manav Kaul is.

जुलाई 2022 मेरे पिता जी कैंसर से लड़ते हुए इस संसार को अलविदा कह गए। Ventilator पर एक रेखा थी जो सीथी हो गई और डॉ साहब SORRY कहते हुए मूक हो गए। मैं उस वक्त पापा के पांव की ऊंगलियां पकड़े खड़ा था और बहुत देर तक खड़ा रहा , मुंह से एक शब्द नहीं निकला मानो शरीर जड़ हो गया हो ।। बहुत मुश्किल समय।।

Manav Kaul is one of the best Hindi writer we have in India.
Out of nowhere i stumbled on this interview and one thing for sure that every corpus of this and the conversation between Saurabh and Manav made me ease. It was more like walking at shore of the beach where the cold splash of ocean touches our feet and we sighh with peace. I found myself grateful to be stumbled upon it .Thank-you ❤

'Acha lagta hai bagiche me ghumne me, par asal me hum aranya me bhatakna chahte hai'. This line forced my inner natural instincts to kick in, and for a moment I was really in the zone of thinking, whether I belong to these artificial concrete jungle or that natural jungle where an ape used to roam without having any tension or stress of the future. These kinds of words that saurabh sir uses, definitely makes my brain work hard to associate my feelings to the experiences. Hats off to saurabh sir

Manav I think untimely death brings too much grief...and no words can express it it's the want of words that speaks more.....you are good
Exactly too much beyond this infinity at that point and scars never really fades away ever ..it becomes too hard to even remember everything so fresh...life hangs in on and off forever...things never remain the same...but each day brings hopes with it to pass it on with lil positivity... small steps can lead the big path may be..
