Need that pedal bad. Queen is by far one of my favourite bands. I'd really love to emulate Brian May when I play his solos. Thanks a lot for the opportunity.
A cheaper alternative is the Galileo pedal. I use it on my Brian May fly rig. I prefer it to the Kensington pedal as you can dial in a great BM tone with or without a separate treble boost.
I should not be that fast; I have the Iron Bell Fuzz, the Hotone wah pedal (set on a static position half open) and the Boss Sy1 pedal and you can have both the Brian May guitar tone AND with a little switching on the SY 1, the synth sound additional for that 'I want to break free' solo. And most fun fact: I use a Les Paul copy (unknown brand named Triumph), a Bugera transistor amp and it still produces the Brian May tone with the pedals mentioned. You don't always have to dig deep into your purse with present pedal technology. Of course, a Vox produces a warmer sound (I also have a Vox Valvetronix), but it isn't just so very necesssary to have that precise amp and guitar anymore.
You don't necessarily need a Red Special, if you have a bit of experience with a soldering iron you can wire the phase switches yourself, I did it with a cheap strat copy and it sound GREAT.
Yup, same thing here. I use a cheap Les Paul Copy, a Hotone wah pedal, the Mojo Iron Bell Fuzz and a Bugera amp. When I put that wah-pedal on static position halfway open, it produces exactly that Brian May tone. Of course a Vox amp is warmer, but I mean to say that it even doesn't require re-wiring anymore.
I would love this pedal, not because I play guitar, which I do, and not because I love Queen & Dr. Brian May, but I do as well. No, it's ultimately because I live in OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada. Canada's capital city! And for all those reasons, I would love to have this pedal!
Underrated? Slash, foo fighters, green day, darkness, nuno bettencourt, def leppard, steve vai to name a few that call him one of their main insisting.
Why did you have such a wonderful talent that is full of strange charms unique to your video? I was amazed at the excellence of your skills and was moved by your sincerity and hard work while watching the video. This is a video of you that I want to watch over and over even if I walk with my eyes open even if I close my eyes and walk on an empty street that has been swept away by the cold winter wind. I'm looking at your video like a dream. Thank you for comforting my heart because I liked your video as if I was passing through in my dream yesterday. Your video makes my weary heart happy. The countless stars shining in the winter night sky are each beautiful, but I fell in love with your video that shines in my heart and it is the most beautiful. Thank you for giving my heart a break and making me happy. It is your video that I want to watch over and over again. By chance at the winter window, as the algorithm introduced me, when I opened my UA-cam window, the first video I saw was your video.
Hi Danilo, sounds great. One question: Is it possible that you upload your kemper profile from the VOX AC 30 in the rig manager? :D Best regards from germany.
I knew the answer before I clicked the vid, but in fairness I've been playing guitar for most of my life at this point. I also watched it all the way through and thoroughly enjoyed myself, so I feel like you've got a good middle-ground where your channel is informative to beginners but still entertaining to experts. Keep up the excellent work
sixpence coins are serrated on the edge, which can change the dynamic of his playing by the way the coin is angled. 1p's aren't serrated welp, got that off my chest. great vid
Grande comunque Danilo.
I got a Red Special in August, and they just got in a used Brian May Digitech Wah in the shop I got it from. They wanted like $500 for it and I just dropped $900 on the guitar so that was a big No lol. Hope I can get one one day
Old sixpence coins can e bought on ebay. They don't have great collector value so they're not expensive. A modern 10p coin is the best substitute if you have one.
Great video, anyway.
3:30 - Erm, no. A Wah pedal always makes a bell curve and just _moves_ it with the action of the pedal. You never get a clean tone when the wah is on because it _always_ boosts a frequency band. Which is why it has got a bypass switch.

Naga viper
Whats wrong with using a regular Wah.

Also a fun fact, Brian May was a huge fan of Rory Gallagher and in an interview he said that Gallagher's tone was his main inspiration
Never heard of Roy before.
True
@@carpediemarts705 you should take a listen to RoRy
@@carpediemarts705 This was one of his best concerts: ua-cam.com/video/6qkr-XlNZKM/v-deo.html

I've always loved that song and thought the solo was so cool, you definitely nailed the tone and that Ottawa pedal just gives it that extra kick
Brian May's sound is so iconic, hope to get that pedal 🔥🔥
Wow!! You should keep bringing more videos like this with other iconic tones. amazing work!!
I was always a huge fan of Queen and I realy enjoyed this video. Keep up the good work and regards!
Thanks mate, appreciate it!!🙏🏻

Ah man I just missed that giveaway! That pedal sounds awesome.
congrats to whoever got it (=
Brian May need more recognition, truly one of the most underrated guitarists of all time 🤔
I actuallydont think he is underrated at all..he is probably one of the most famous guitarists in the whole world!
Of course he is not that recognised
Underrated? Slash, foo fighters, green day, darkness, nuno bettencourt, def leppard, steve vai to name a few that call him one of their main insisting.
Brian May underrated? He's one of the most well-known, influential and important guitarplayers in rock history.
The Solo in I want to break free is not an Guitar solo it is an Keyboard solo😂
Great video! Awesome work! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks buddy!
Wow mate, you nailed the sound so good! I would love to get the Otawa! Bravissimo, buddy!

Danilo, your videos are getting better and better sir!
Not sure if you had the pickups out of phase as it didn’t have the usual scream
Great video man. Excellent stuff
Would love that pedal ! Sounds amazing ! Great playing as always 🤘
A tiny little battery operated amp made from an old transistor radio by Deacon. That's how. For a lot of his music.

The actual solo was played by Fred Mandel using a Roland Jupiter 8 synth...
Hi Danilo,
sounds great.
One question:
Is it possible that you upload your kemper profile from the VOX AC 30 in the rig manager? :D
Best regards from germany.
Brian May is my Guitar Hero.
Finally found out what was missing. I always thought they used some kind of synth keyboard.
Bellissimo video
Bravo Danilo!
Great vid as usual lots of inspiration mix with a bit of comedy!! love it...now gimmee that pedal!!:}}
Hah! 30 years ago on my first band, I did that guitar solo with a Wah Wah Pedal - yes I was right that using a wah for that synth like effect...

Amazing Danilo 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great work and sense of humour.
Hmmmm, couldn’t that Kemper unit also profile the Auto-Wah? I thought the Profiler included multi effects generators.
Queen actually has a movie called bohemian rhapsody
Pretty Good !!! Thanks !
The amp build by John help Brian get his tone.
Nice pedal. Would go nicely with RS im building.
I love it soooo much!!!
what was that song you played when you played the replica for the first time in the video?
sixpence coins are serrated on the edge, which can change the dynamic of his playing by the way the coin is angled. 1p's aren't serrated
welp, got that off my chest. great vid
you could probably put a chorus on to make it sound more like a synth too
Great video!
it's all in the coin!
You created great sound too amico
damn you have a lot of gibson les paul now im jealous because i don't have my own guitar when i want to play the guitar i borrow one from my friend
is this guy Brian May's guitar teacher?!...👏😁
What is that blue flying v i really want one just like it
Excellent video, superb playing - shame that I'm not on Instagram 🤔🤔😕
I need that pedal…now!
Lol AC/DC happens to be my favorite band and has been 15 years
That was damn impressive
nice tone \m/
Very cool video 😎
Why didn't Spike Edney play the solo on the synth?
Grande comunque Danilo.
use a coin as a guitar pick
Yes, but to get that I Want To Break Free tone the coin is not enough 👀
Keep the pedal. Send me the Brian May guitar.😉
Erm, Im sure it was actually a ring modulator on the studio version.
Grazie, molto interessante
Ti adoro ❤️
Really need that pedal coz I don’t have any
Sei italiano vero? Si vedi per l’accento che hai !
Io Sono brasiliano 🤘🏼✌🏼
Bel video!!
Super come sempre
Nice pedal
NICEEEE
the middle is actuall band pass, which has the lease frequencies left...
what is the guitar link?
Bravo
Muse
Madness solo?
Well Muse does it make known that Queen is a HUGE influence to them.

Shape Your Tone already did the same exact video hahaha

i like your French accent
How mick mars got that tone?
Try a 5p coin. Very similar to a sixpence.

Really loved the Ottawa pedal. very much inspired and want to use that.thank you.
I brak my string trying to play with the coin
That digital amp modeling doesn't do an AC 30 justice. Digital sucks!
Great video, anyway.
You have to thank the guy who talks to you in the ear, he saves you a lot of mistakes. lol
Danilo você sabe falar em português?
Im fast boy
No man, he is slash 1:23 hahahahha sei un grande cazzo🤣🤣
😂
Why in the heck does Brain may remind me of James may? They family?
you can't use a guitar pick with Brian's Guitar!!
wow ,, is your that red special
Bros 100% italian
He uses a sixpence still to yhis day wich gives him a uniqe pinch

Close.
Who else noticed that guitar has a 0 fret
Like everyone?
