    Where I live we are in the darkest period right now. We have 19,5 hours less sunlight per day compared to the brightest day in the summer. Sun goes up 9.50, and sets at 13.15 in the afternoon. Really depressing in the winter, but the summers makes up for everything. The sun never sets in the summer :)

    When trolling fails.

    • @freshairkaboom8171
      @freshairkaboom8171 5 років тому +6

      It's easier than you think. North is not found in nature. North is the description we gave to a particular direction, and then used that as "up" on maps, even though it's not necessarily "up" in nature.

    • @rndmfella1874
      @rndmfella1874 5 років тому

      @thnktank1 ..can you tell me wich direction we are in space? Up or down, or to the side? In relation to a compass we know exactly where the "north pole" as we named it, is. Same as we know where the "South Pole" is. If you wish to name it with something else, that's completely up to you. But I bet you will run in to some linguistic issues if you decide to start using your own, made up, language in the world.
      On the flip side, it might give you free room and board for a while, as they sort you out ;) This is civilisation after all.

      I'm curious, because of the tilt in the axis of the earth, during the summer & winter solstices, is it a bit "cooler" during the solstices compared to the equinox? I wouldn't think so but just curious (also where are you located? thanks!)

    • @cefrinaldi8060
      @cefrinaldi8060 4 роки тому

      @@Anolis9 I live in indonesia, near the equatorial line. We have two season based on monsoon. There are not much difference on sun position here. But due to vast amount of region in indonesia, there are slight tilting on sun position in the lower or upper region of indonesia. It doesnt disturb the day night cycle, it just like in rainy season it goes dark faster than the dry season.
      If you asking which is cooler... Maybe its cooler when in rainy season. The sun doesnt really do much on the temperature here.

    The Earth is straight up in the universe.
    The sun moves up and down to the maximum 23.5° angle north and south of the Earth in a 6 month time period.
