Loved the film guys, delaying the strike is the equivalent of sitting on your hands when tip fishing. Well filmed again chappy, James really explains all methods in great detail.
Another cracking video and what a lovely net of canal bream, bailiff my local canal and if only people would try them!, Stick float fishing, feeder fishing and canal fishing in 3 videos, thumbs up!, Well done on the Riverfest result mate. Danny
I fish both the Grand Union and Oxford canals around the Northants/Warwicks borders and I regularly catch both bream and hybrids to over 5lb and some very big roach, as you stated it used to be mainly gudgeon and roach with an odd bream. During the 76 draught you could see all of the shoals of fish due to the water being so low and clear but there wasn't anything of that sort of size or quantity back then. Great film work and angling, really enjoyed it.
Great videos. I’ve been fishing 40 years and am definitely not a match fisherman, but am picking up loads of tips. Fantastic advert for the Midlands as well. Keep it up!
Such a shame our canals are neglected these days, I suppose you can see the appeal of the commercial fishery, but for me this is proper fishing at its very best, coupled with stunning peaceful scenery. Excellent video James, so relaxing to watch......Thank you!!
Another great video by James and Chappy,James always explains what he's doing and why he's doing it.great camera work once again by Chappy can't wait to see the next one,and Montys becoming a star in his own right.
If consistency is the name of the game James you have it sorted. Fish film work relaxed and smiling a lovely way to spend an hour mate looking forward to the next one thanks again
I love your dog, he is so well behaved on the bank, he obviously can't leave your side. The videos are excellent, so many natural venues and what I would call "real fishing" just what I love to do. Try doing another piece on the Aire and Calder at Pollington in the autumn/winter with Paul, lots of Roach and Bream.
Brilliant video as always. Problem i have is my local canal is about 1 hour and 30 minutes drive away we are not blessed with canals in cambridgeshire and suffolk.
Well I havent fished for over 20 years but spent the last few evenings watching your videos James, Chappy and of course Monty. I am truely inspired to get back out there and have another go. Rivers were my first love back then and I am currently trawling every sales site trying to piece together some kit. Great stuff guys and keep them coming I am hooked.
Lovely video. Canals are so neglected as you say. I regularly have my local trent and mersey canal to myself and it is simply full of bream and roach. I think my shakespeare flavia pole is as old as your seatbox but still going strong for canal sessions :)
What a cracking session James. Once again yet another great video and as usual it was a pleasure to watch you catch. Chappy is second to none for camera work so 10/10 lads, keep up the superb video's. Tight lines
I'm always amazed at the speed you catch fish. I mean, the amount you can catch is enormous compared to what we catch here in Veurne (Belgium). In the canal where I live it sometimes takes an hour to catch one fish (if I'm lucky) I'm always wondering if I'm doing stuff wrong or if it's just a weird place to catch fish.
Don't overlook editing may condense time. However, on this occasion James really did catch frequently, as in one every few minutes. Right place, right time and a skilled angler in James. It's impossible to compare venues it has to be said, fish populations do vary and these are good pegs in the canal shown in this video. Follow the advice James offers and keep on improving. Cheers.
Wow what a well made video. Informative as well as entertaining. Was this professionally done or did you do it on your own? As for ‘where are all the small fish?’, that must be worrying. The remaining fish benefit and get bigger. Once those bigger ones are gone though, there will be nothing.
Thanks for the kind words. James works with a cameraman who also edits the videos. There are small fish and nature will always revive a water. Just a few years of missing year classes of fish allowed the larger ones to flourish.
@@cadencefishinguk nature will certainly take it's course, but ecological changes to habitat, interspecific competition and predation etc., can be long lasting...which can be a good thing as much as a bad thing. We are very lucky to have the canal systems, that's for sure.
Hi Andreas, good point you make. This one made for some tricky decisions on my part. James was keen to put across a lot of fishing action and fishing info' and so he did, and the length of the video was becoming a bit of an issue...nearly forty minutes of pure talk/action, so a cut back on B roll was inevitable. Next week's will more than make up though I hope ! Cheers. Chappy.
@@cadencefishinguk glad to hear it! My fella decided to drop his phone in the pond last weekend. 2 snapped landing net poles later, He fished it out with his hands haha

Love this video! The venue, the explanations, the fish, the ASI seatbox... Lovely! And cracking slow motion and aerial scenes too!

we tend to agree, but there a place for everything and in time we do expect to visit 'commercials' as well.
Fantastic session, brilliantly presented and superbly filmed, those bite shots are epic! Thanks and well done

Cadence Fishing UK yep is that why James has shades on hide them black eyes LOL you both put on a really good show. The best side of UA-cam laters
Thanks James and Cadence team for another top class video. I think canals have become pushed back in choice sadly some great sport to be had
Quite correct Jeff, maybe it might be the fact that there are a few potential 'risks', and /or some walks are longer to reach swims?

another fantastic video james....great skill level and lovely to see a great bag of fish from a beautiful stretch of canal ......
What a cracking video! So easily watchable - well done!
Now there’s a propper seatbox 👍🏻

Great to watch i love fishing on the
Canal , and as you said it’s definitely neglected 👍
Great video James and nice to see your able assistant Monty lending a hand! Keep up the good work.Tight Lines Steve Amison

I’m about to go down Chichester canal haven’t been there since I was 10 and remember catching a lot of small different species 😁
What an amazing day!
Who makes the floats James and who would have thought that a green tip would be so visable?
Hi Mark, they are made by Paul Power. Let me know if you want contact details. Cheers James
" U R STAR" I love it all (and the Dog) very informative !!! happy Cadence brand to have HIm with You !

Another great vid, had a day like that on staff & Worcs two anglers either side could only catch roach!
Good video with James, also Monty on the 'mooch'.

Can you get puller kits for your pole as you dont appear to be using one on this session
Yes, they are not always needed of course.
Love this video

how important is it to purchase a water wanderers permit?
Important 👍but I don't think you'll get bothered
Monty loves the fish. I seen him on another video trying to lick the chub James was catching 🤣
27:47 Please tell me you saved them haha Naughty Monty!
Hmm. Yes the pole top kits survived.
