I noticed that too. I think when transgender men compete and qualify in mens sports, it’s seen as a victory for women. But when transgender women compete it’s seen more often than not, as an unfair advantage. Either way, this isn’t gonna be solved easily

1. Lessen the mass of bone structure
2. Make the heart smaller
3. Reduce the number of fast twitch muscle fibers

Hormones won't even change the shape of your pelvic bones. That's one of the reasons men are faster.

@@chenchen3258 I don't think that there are enough studies to answer your question. I could guess that a boy who starts hormone therapy before puberty, and does not go through it (let's say 7-9 years ald), would probably not have an advantage, or would have a much smaller one. But it's not the case of any of these transgender female athletes. Anyway, put a boy on hormones at that young age would be totally crazy.
They keep saying it's a complicated issue. IT'S NOT COMPLICATED!
It's only complicated for them because they are forced by their own ideology to not discriminate against LGBTQ or women in any way. It's a double-edged sword for them. And I personally LOVE their discomfort.
It's pretty obvious where the average person stands on this - there are virtually NO comments in support of this and none of my friends in liberal Boston agree with this. This is purely about being PC and being afraid to hurt feelings and the consequences in today's cancel and "woke" culture... these news anchors probably feel the same way but are afraid of backlask from social media and the 3% that get angry... and losing their jobs
nothing complicate, nothing tricky, those journalists only need balls to admit the obvious truth about this whole mess on television but they don't have any, trans people should consider giving it to them as they don't have a use for it anymore.

Ok, I’m a “liberal” but this is insane. I am 100 percent an ally for everyone’s rights, but we are really going too far with constantly making sure we don’t hurt anyone’s feelings. Life is tough. We aren’t doing anyone any favors by (for example) removing the female symbol on tampons because we don’t want to hurt the feelings of transgender men who still menstruate.

What I have a problem with is when we create leagues based on gender because you are excluding people simply based on their gender. Last time I checked, people don't get to choose what gender they are - just like your skin colour.

Title nine was pushed into place by second wave in 1972, since then it has been cheating men and boys by the thousands but now a few girls get hurt by it and it's unfair and boys cheating girls.
Consider this, because this is a real possibility: The two transgenders compete against women who haven't benefited from 2k+ years of evolution from male genetics. At the end of high school, they each win athletic scholarships, and deny the biological women those scholarships. On graduation day, they decide, "you know what, being a women sucks. I'm going back to identifying as a male, except now I have scholarships".
Since "being a women" is now defined as a state of mind, rather than based on genetic makeup, it allows people the option to change their minds about how they identify.
These videos show how this can be unfair to biological women. I think another important mention is that it doesn't work both ways. A transgender male (biological women) would still be disadvantaged in either sports teams (mens and womens).
I think we are a long way off from these dudes getting recruited to run on a womans collegiate team. High schools care about peoples feelings more than colleges and professional sports.
The Scholarship is most lilely tied to an obligation to compete for the university, if they don't run, they probably loose it anyway.

There's all kinds of "unfair" discrimination that occurs. My friend in high school couldn't play basketball because he had asthma. He was good at basketball, but he couldn't pass the physical. There was a kid with cerebral palsy... what do you think happens if he even showed up on the field to TRY OUT for football?
Look... if you're transgender, it's as simple as this... you no longer fit perfectly into male or female athletics, so you won't be allowed to compete in either category. If that means you make a transgender category... fine. If that means you make TWO transgender categories (m/f and f/m) that's also fine. If you want to practice with the team without competing... fine... but YOU made this life-altering decision. You don't get to alter OTHER PEOPLE'S lives with your decision.

The conversation isn’t complicated, its simple. Women should compete against women, and men against men. If States want to explore transgender athletic leagues, and allow people to compete in whatever manner they please; that option is available. But, Connecticut has certainly made a mess of things.
Same applies to the other 18 states. Create an open league or a transgender category within the sport but do not expect support from a parent of an XX child when an XY student wants to join the team.
It sickens me to see legislators, and sports organizations pass laws that are rooted in pseudoscience. This isn’t helping people. Likewise, it isn’t helping communities find common ground. Children losing scholarship, and affirmative opportunities to satisfy the feelings of a small demographic is inflammatory, and wrong. There was a time when legislators attempted to make decisions that were in the best interest of improving our societal fabric, it isn’t about people pleasing.

Then they will have to do something about it.
Make a national or regional league for transgender students. Or since gender is a subjective societal construct, have them compete with the boys.
Even with hormonal therapy, the male skeletal and muscular structure is still there and it heavily favors the biological males (which is why we have separate male and female competitions).

There aren't enough of these dudes to have a separate division. I just say there is no inherent right to cheat, and if you try to cheat by claiming you are a female, you go to jail for fraud and get fined.

Of course, they always have the option of competing against boys, so it's not like they would be the pariah of society, out of options.

We already have boys and girls sports segregation because as a society we came to the conclusion that the physical differences between males and females are too large and would create an unfair advantage over females if we competed together. Physical differences between white and black males are noticeable but not to the point where whites have no chance to compete, otherwise 95% of gold-medalists at the Olympic games would be black. We abandoned racial segregation 50 years ago...feel free to start a whites-only league :)

How is this a complicated issue? If they are biological males run with the males. No one says they cant run, they just shouldnt run with the girls. It’s only “controversial” if you think boys (XY) should be able to compete against girls (XX). People should be able to dress, act call themselves whatever makes them feel good. However, calling yourself a girl and taking hormones doesn’t make you a girl. When you start having periods and can get pregnant we can revisit the issue.

Oh I'm so sorry for deciding to match my body to my brain. I understand that most biological men are stronger than most women, what I don't understand is why people are "All for equality" but when in comes to anything different it has to be a debate. How would you feel if your bodies gender didn't match your brains gender? How would you feel if you had to battle gender dysphoria everyday? How would you feel if your mind kept telling you too much like a girl/boy with every outfit you chose? Wouldn't like it so much, would you? I'm not saying you have to support trans people because that's your choice, but I am asking you to be considerate. Oof
