Oh, you lucky duck! Portugal is so beautiful! The people are so friendly (and helpful with their different languages) and so much sunshine! Enjoy Romee, you will love it, I'm sure!! 😍
Hey romeo, so glad for you on this adventure. I have just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and have no treatment plan yet. I'm scared but have been following you for a long time. I just hope I can have strength and positively as great as yours. Wishing you all the best honey and let's hope God has us both in his arms right now. Much love glen xxxxx
Oh dear Romee’! You never cease to impress me, with your desire and grit for life! You are everything I wanted to be in beginning in “1980”. However, my mothers fears were super-imposed on me and threats of “ If you leave…don’t come back”! But I digress, YOU darling, as I tell you so often, are an amazing young woman. Your eagerness to go and do and live your life, in spite of your illness…. The way you love your family and friends, and your ability to live independently through Covid, hospitalize alone through cancer treatments and more… you must have one very special Angel on your shoulder. Have a blast at your new glamping job! Hope to see some scenery if you are free to snap pics. Be well💞😇
I love to see young people doing things like this before settling down, getting married and having kids. When I was young it was not socially acceptable to do it but that was foolish. We were encouraged to become responsible adults the second we graduated highschool or college. Anyone who dared do otherwise was labled as selfish and irresponsible. I wish someone had told me how life usually works out for "responsible" people. What happens most times is, we work ourselves to the bone for 40+ years while raising children, buying a home with all the trimmings, finally get it all paid for, then the kids need money for college, weddings and all sorts of little emergencies. If we're lucky, we are able to set enough money aside to retire at 65. Shortly before or after we finally retire, our bodies begin to fall apart. We may have the time and maybe even the money to do all the fun things we put off for all those decades but now we have to stay home to have our many health problems taken care of. Now is the only time you will ever posess the freedom, health and financial ability to do these things. Don't consider putting them off until you have had so many exciting adventures that you no longer want more.
Back in the mid 70s I traveled around the world (mostly overland) for 2 1/2 years (22 year old female by self). No regrets. Now at 70 I’m getting in shape to do a 4 day hike in the heat in the Australian Outback as part of a 3 month traveling adventure. I am sad you were encouraged to settle down. My desire came from within, different drum beat, which was why I traveled alone (for the most part)…everyone else was settling down. But don’t think your adventures are over as you age…be a rebel. Try to stay healthy naturally & never tell yourself you can’t do it. It might be modified but you can still do it!!
@@seashelify362 Wow! Good for you! Also, I'm ten years younger than you and literally now just recovering from my fourth joint replacement (a hip this time) - that I had done in Portugal, because that's where I live now. Be SO GRATEFUL for your amazing body! You are so lucky. I actually used to be athletic, so this arthritis is a real bummer, but I am trying to just come to terms with it (because I have to). I hope you have a wonderful time in the Outback! ❤
What about treatment regimen? The area in neck needs treatment, or no? I hope you have a lovely time! Just want what's best for you in the long term, of course...as you do too!
Yay Romee so excited for you. You are such an adventurous person. Good for you 😊 I hope u will still be able to put out your regular videos. I have my people I watch weekly and you are one of them. Looking forward to seeing u in Portugal. Be safe and enjoy. All the best to you. Your hair is just so sweet right now by the way. ❤️ Kris 🙏 🇨🇦
That’s something I really don‘t understand. I mean her health situation needs lot‘s of reevaluation (expensive PET scans and so on) and partly at least a minimum of treatment. In Germany you are not allowed to travel while severely sick because no insurance would cover the treatment in other countries than Germany. Even a special travel insurance doesn’t cover diseases you already have. That’s why I‘m not traveling at all since 2013. It drives me nuts because I also want to live and I don’t have as much time left… Obviously the regularities are completely different in the Netherlands which is awesome for Romee. But I‘d really like to know how the rules are.
@@paganina2330 sounds like a lot of frustration build up. sorry to hear. I am just happy for her she enjoys life. and at the same time worried since some exams were announced and no results yet..
@@Marina23031 No, I think you understood that wrongly. I was just wondering how it‘s possible to travel even while she was under treatment. Seems to be a different system. That doesn’t mean I‘m jealous or wouldn’t allow her to enjoy trips. Since I‘m sick myself I know she needs every encouragement which is possible. And of course I‘m happy for her. But I also know that there was activity in her last PET scan. That means at least she needs follow ups and a PET scan is really expensive. I‘m curious how she is going to do it. Maybe it’s covered in her insurance.
This is very exciting for you to experience! Did you get your pet scan before you left? I was hoping you where in great health, I’ve been praying for you all the time. Such a strong beautiful person 🌺🌼
Wow Romee, looks like your in for a new adventure so I'm wishing you all the positive vibes coming your way for a successful trip. This is such exciting news and please do give details about your job and the Portugal lifestyle when you're over there living your life.

Oh what an adventurer you are! Never a dull moment. I have only just returned from Portugal, walking the Portugese Camino. The Portugese are very friendly and glamping sounds fantastic. You will be surprised at how cheap it is compared to Holland ( andthe UK) . We started in Porto and that is a lovely city. We walked north for 11 days until we reached Santiago, followed by four more days to walk to Fisterra, the end of the world. Great pilgrimage. Ik wens je een fantastische tijd en het zal zeker lukken. Geniet! Iris
