Super video and excellent advice. Having photographed Orcas 3 times out of Vancouver island yours and Aaron's advice was spot on as they are really tricky to photograph, unpredictable and boat movement is difficult to manage. Next time I might try the single point of focus as I usually use 9 point but now have a Nikon D500 so group auto focus might be useful.

I live on vancouver Island and so I've seen my share of orcas but never been able to get a great shot, what lenses are you using ? over 400mm or is it enough fr photographin wildlife on water ?
