I know this was posted 3 years ago, but getting ready to fly Frontier for the very first time out of RDU and found your video full of useful information. Thanks for posting!
Terrific catches! Terrific trip you had on Frontier! I hope to fly one day on Frontier in the future. I know the closet airport that is close to me that has Frontier heading towards Denver is Reagan Nation-DCA.
Great video. One slight correction though. The norther part of RDU terminal 2 (C gates) opened in the fall of '08. The southern part (D gates) opened as you said in '11. It was originally scheduled to be completed in '12 by the project was put on the fast track when the NHL announced that the all stat games would be played in Raleigh in '11.
Hi Jazzguy! Great video as always, really enjoyed it :) Looks like you had a nice and relaxing flight with Frontier, it has been quite some years since I have flown with them. Nice to see BOS Terminal E so quiet, having passed through there in the evening a couple of times where it is so busy.. 😁 You were treated to some awesome views down the east coast, lovely to see. Btw, happy new year! Regards, Brendan
im flying on a southwest airlines boeing 737 max 8 plane on march 25th omaha to las vegas may 19th omaha to chicago midway and may 23rd chicago midway to omaha
@Savage Samanyu im flying to charleston south carolina may 19th from omaha via chicago midway and may 23rd charleston to omaha via chicago midway the chicago to charleston routes are going to be 737-700s
I don't think you understand the fuel burn card.... Frontier has less fuel burn not just because they have less planes, but because they have the largest fleet of neos in the US; which use much less fuel than other planes. By your logic, Southwest, United, Delta, and American should all have very close fuel burn percentages as they each have around the same number of planes (700-800ish). But as the card clearly shows, Southwest is at 24% and United at 42% and the others in upper 40s. Clearly fleet size doesn't matter. So no, it isn't "obvious...because they have less airplanes." It's because of the neos.
On half of this flight crew we would like to welcome you to Boston please remain Seated until the aircraft has came to a full and complete stop at the gate if you are continuing onto Portland Oregon this is your aircraft the Portland Flight attendants will make a count from the back to the front of the aircraft and if this is your final destination or if you are continuing on another southwest flight we ask that you deplane and check the tv monitors inside the terminal for flight and gate information which includes your flight # and gate # we thank you for choosing southwest airlines and hope to see you and we will will like to serve you on another southwest flight once again we thank you for choosing southwest airlines for chose for air travel once again we like to welcome you onboard southwest airlines and welcome to Boston Massachusetts
Been wondering how frontier is because thinking of flying them to Vegas out of Cleveland Ohio looks not too bad this spring yes! For my 55thb day! I hope I. Can win! LOL 😂
Every three months sometimes more, I take frontier from Atlanta GA to San Francisco California to see my girlfriend since she’s going to school there It’s a very uncomfortable plane
In this video, you stated how Boston was going under renovation. Personally, I find the RDU renovation more “interesting.” Should have 27 new gates in operation by 2030 (4 supposed to open this year) as well as a brand new primary runway, parking apron, larger cargo facility, relocated general aviation, 20+ hangers built, potentially a 4th runway, Conrac, new Transportation hub, etc. and it will eventually grow to have 12+ international gates which is about the same as Logan’s E gates
With the 2031 passenger estimates already being passed in 2019, the project has essentially doubled in cost and may require a complete rebuild of terminal 1 and 5R 23 L to accommodate future aviation needs.5R 23 L would be built far enough out so a terminal 2 (2040 plan) replica can be built there for the future but the original plan would only replicate the current day terminal 2
At least you got in one of their stretch seats that have full tray tables. Frontier’s fleet has all of their seats (aside from the stretch seats of course) with poor legroom and a wannabe “tray table”. The stretch seats would be the only reason I would use Frontier (if I use Frontier).
Great video! However I would change a couple items, im a flight attendant for Frontier and your seat count is off. You said 30 Stretch seats and 150 Economy seats which is incorrect. Our A320neos hold 186 passengers. 24 of those seats are "Stretch" row seating, rows 1, 2, 3, and 13 are actual diamond stitched "Stretch" seating. Row 12 although it has extra legroom in the exit row, it is not sold as a stretch seat. And as for economy that aircraft has 162 seats. To conclude, our A319s hold 150 Passengers, A320s hold 180, A320neos hold 186, and A321s hold 230 passengers. As for stretch seating all of our aircraft types carry 24 of those seats. Hope this info helps for when you do another video :)
@@SkyHighGuys omg wonderful! Class 1918? I have a friend in that class and he flies out to training today. Congrats on joining us, one last thing go do is to get your wings! Study hard and good luck 😁
Great vid as always!👍 What is your favorite UCLA in the US? Allegiance for me is my favorite. How was/is your trip in the UK? Also just a little concerning that there are MICE RUNNING AROUND THE TERMINAL.
People always complain about small tray tables, no outlets, lack of Wi-Fi, etc, but what they fail to realize is that adding all that to an aircraft increases its weight tremendously, snd suddenly your $40 ticket is nearly $200 to compensate for the extra fuel and maintenance costs. It’s beyond me how anyone can’t survive a 2 hour flight without an outlet or Wi-Fi. Charge your phone at home, download a movie, bring an empty water bottle and get over it.
Why Would You Fly Froniter? Frontier Is The Worst Airline In The Whole Wide We Got Stuck On It In Chicago When I Went To Go Visit Family In Peoria, illinois.
So what if someone said another airline was a the worst in the whole wide (?) because they got stranded somewhere with that airline? Who’s right? Then what happens if you consider that all big airlines have stranded people, are the all the worst?
Frontier is not that great of an airline it’s ok but from Trenton-Mercer, Philadelphia and Newark the three closest airports to me they don’t fly to my most common travel destination aka(ORD) Chicago O’hare. If Frontier wants me to fly with them ever again they better change that and open up a new route from Trenton-Mercer, Philadelphia or Newark to Chicago otherwise I’m never flying them again I’m just going to Stick with better airlines like Southwest and JetBlue which are the best.
Legroom is terrible on the plane my legs were cramping and I had an aisle seat and no free WiFi onboard no free snacks, no free entertainment all things that Southwest and JetBlue offer including way better legroom.
