That's a lovely video. Fantastic scenery, too. Good boy Chevy. I had to teach my Millie to swim. She couldn't get it. So, as you would a human child, we got in the water with her and held her up until her legs got the rhythm. Great little swimmer now. ❤
Thanks so much. Yes, I am working on a similar approach with Chevy but he really needs to take it slow when it comes to water. Glad that Millie is a good little swimmer, perhaps Chevy boy will eventually. Oddly enough, he loves to shower with me.🐾💦💦🐾

Love the blue boots and I always thought you two could walk on water.😁 A quick taste and into the beautiful butterfly field which by the way is amazing. I didn’t know that Chevy was afraid of water. He always seems to have so much fun romping and wading alone and with friends. I have never had a dog with this type of phobia. All of my dogs have been introduced to water when they were very young and learned it can be fun and refreshing, but they don’t enjoy baths 😂.
He sure does have fun around water now; but he has yet to venture in over his head when we are at lakes and we've never seen if he can actually swim or not. This past summer he came close to swimming but his paws could still touch bottom. Oddly enough. Chevy seems to like showers and the occasional bath. 💦🐾🐾
@ With my Fox terrier Jack, we walked him out to deep water on his leash. It was funny because he was on tip toes till his back legs finally came up and floated. With one more step he started swimming. We were at a lake, so there was no current. He did not like swimming in the river, but loved the lake.
I didn’t know Chevy had a phobia of water when you first got him, it’s ok for dogs to have phobias of things though isn’t it. Plus, they can overcome it, some do some don’t, the fact is dogs have feelings too which I clearly respect because I’m a nice person. Also I’m glad that you and Chevy had a nice safe and fun time in the water too my friend.
