the light on the wall must be the light shining back from the mirror. I'm sure you can flag it off the mirror but I personally like how it breaks up the wall. I like how everyone has their own specific taste even if what we like is similar lol. I like the overall look 👌 edit: why did I say "like" so much? 😅😅
Ahaha thanks man! It’s starting to grow on me more
Awesome breakdown. Loved it. That green was really cinematic
Thanks!
Really like this one Carlo, thank you for sharing 😊

Thanks man!
Loving the 4th picture!
Thanks!
Great breakdown Carlo, appreciate that you mentioned the areas you weren't so pleased with. It's tricky to monitor those small details, especially when you're the subject as well!
Hahaha yeah! It’s really a challenge
This is beautiful, the still reminds me a lot of Saul Leiter’s photographs
Yes bro 🙌🏾👊🏾 this was sick 👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Martin
AWESOME! Thank you for this video! Always wanted to figure out how to get that green look! keep up the videos!!
Thanks man!
Really nice breakdown. Love these breakdown videos. Started breaking down my own videos and it’s just amazing how much you learn from that. Keep up the good work!
Thanks!

Great scenes and great breakdown. I particularly liked the last 2. Did you shoot these with the ursa?
Thanks! And yes sir
@@carlostigs it’s a great look you’ve got. I like the moody tones and breakdowns. Subbed man! Keep it up.
What was the tube light on the c stand? Not seeing in the description! Great shots
I think the triangle was the reflection of the light from the mirror. Do you remember what color temp or color the nanotube was at and your camera's white balance was set to? Most likely not since this video is old. I really wish you could do a good tutorial on proper white balance and your camera settings. Some times I have a hard time deciding whether to match or "correctly" white balance depending on if I want my scene to be warm or cold. Sounds basic I know, but I have nanlites 300X bi color and if I set it to be warm, should I match the camera to that warm color also? For example, If I have my Nanlite Forza 300 set to let's say 6400K should the camera also be set to 6400K and that would be a warm look? Hope that makes sense. Thanks for your videos, Love them.
Amazing video! Subscribed to your channel keep up the great work 👍. Please make more one light videos!
Thanks!
I think that triangle is from the light bouncing off the mirror. You could use cinefoil attached to the end of the light to block the light off the window or get the barn doors. The funny thing is, I actually really liked the triangle. It adds dimension to a blank wall and looks very real. I thought you did it on purpose haha.
Hahaha I definitely agree with the mirror after looking at it again you’re 100% right. And interesting point, didn’t think of even liking it for some reason. But I like your thought and maybe it does look decent hahaha
There might also be some reflection off the towel rack wich also seemed to be part of the increased exposure in one of the previous shots.
Great video man.
Thanks!
Love your videos Carlo, I always learn a lot. How are you able to draw on your stills like that? I want to do break downs like this myself soon. Thanks again man for everything
9:19 Looks like it’s the reflection of the pavo off the mirror. YOu can see it starts at the beginning of the mirror and widens with the length of the mirror. I like the idea of the shape of the light and what you were going for but it seems mor problematic and less natural. Cool vide either way.
hey bro im trying to re-create this look! i was wondering what your nanlite settings (hsi & dim) are to achieve that green light? thanks!
Hey man! I don’t know exactly tbh. But I would just find a green hue that you like and fits the vibe. As far as intensity it all depends on ambient level and mood of the shot
@@carlostigs thanks for the response bro! ill play around with it!
What equipment is in your lighting kit?
Is a Nanlite 300 and two pavotubes good enough?
I’d say yes. Maybe also have some sort of Neg/bounce or diffusion material
