Came here after watching the recent Rift Apart gameplay and thought this would look primitive in comparison. But it still looks awesome! A testament to the power of last gen in the hands of skilled artists.
This brings back so many pleasant memories of my younger years! The original Ratchet & Clank is awesome! So is the rest of the game series! Ahhh… nostalgia!

I played the original Rachet and Clank when I was about 6 back in 2012. Now, 5 years later, I am in love with this game! Ratchet is a very smart Lombax and Clank is a very handy robot!

Also maybe a handwave for reboot and the movie as "in-universe artistic license and probably Qwark's exagerration."
The Nefarious final boss was exasperating. I had to replay it over so many times because of the enemies flying around and his BS abilities that killed you in 0.5 seconds. And while I somewhat prefer the atmosphere and soundtrack of the original game this reboot is absolutely stunning. Insomniac doing what they do best. Highly recommend.
Original is 100% better than this garbage.

@Reloaded Past Half the planets and all the personalities. Kinda impressive, considering how much the characters talk in the reboot..
The only thing I remember that probably doesn’t exist is a snow section, flying through some city, and some movie room to watch ratchet and clank videos.
How did you get the cutscene to play?? When I stream it cuts and says it's a blocked scene and wont show on my channel

I definitely prefer your videos over everyone else. You actually will do one single video longplay of the game versus all these other people who have literally 500 different videos for the same game and what not and i'll be damned if they didn't put it into a playlist then you're stuck having to track them down. Keep it up man!

I can't remember if it was a Ratchet and Clank game, but I remember playing one with my (back then) best friend at her place. The name sounds *very* familiar, though, and makes me think of those moments, so I'm p sure it was one. Such nostalgia, though. Game of my childhood :)
How did you manage to get all/most of the weapons, golden bolts, upgrades etc. and play the game like with a new save? Also can't you upgrade/buy weapons with only bolts?

I've watched the movie... like the actual movie that was made based on this game. It was actually one of my all time faves!
Its such a phenomenal game.One of the best Ive played.Easily one of my top 10 maybe 5 games of all time.Finished it 4 times and thinking about picking this up again.The gameplay was soo addictive and full of fun.And on top of that georgous graphics which comparing to Rift Apart feel a bit bland.There is so much going on in Rift Apart it makes Reboot's world very empty and dead.Still one of the prettiest games of last generation.

How come you have the gold bolts before even visiting a newly unlocked planet? Like I noticed the menu said Rilgar: 3/3 just after you completed Aridia. A shame since I was hoping to see you gather gold bolts aswell.

Absolutely brilliant game. So enjoyable the graphics look unbelievable for a ps4 game that came out in 2016. If its played on ps5 it runs at smooth 60fp

This game was the first Ratchet and Clank game I actually got to play all the way through, I know it doesn’t really do that much justice you the original story but it was certainly more fun and enjoyable then the movie. I remember back when this game came out when I was 10, I actually played All for one but I barely remembered it because it was so long ago, when the movie trailer for this came out I certainly recognized it and I loved the game when I first played it, I beat Rift apart about a month ago and when I finish Shadow of the Tomb Raider I’ll do a replay of this.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is pretty fun too. Haven't beaten it yet but it's been so long that I might as well just restart from scratch.

Seem to be a few weapons missing for some reason. Replaced with raritanium.
The final battle is currently the best final battle setting design for Ratchet games, in my opinion.

How To Defeat The Tank and Get To The Terminal: First you purchase the Agents Of Doom! And you get down to the elevator to defeat many Blarg. And you must be in Kalebo III. And then defeat the brutes of the Pyrocitor!

Why is my game different? I started in a different area and my beige is broken so I have to jump over the gap. All gates are closed… what am I missing?
my favourite parts are the planets that are replicated exactly the changed story i can deal with though
This game was fun, and was my first time playing any Ratchet and Clank game, but I didn't know that the upcoming PS5 game Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart isn't a sequel to this version, but a sequel to the timeline of the original games. The new one will still probably be fun though.

The rising water run in the original game was definitely a lot harder than it is in this reboot.
