It just makes aprecciate the soundtrack of all Metal Slugs more, they are surprisingly complex yet sound great even with few instruments

    Thanks for this.
I'm digging this video and appreciating what you've done, I just wish there was an oscilloscope or tracker version that shows the tracks being turned off and on.
For example, from just hearing it seems it takes you two minutes to cycle through all the channels. Then you start turning on the channels and stacking them, but later on channels seem to randomly turn off and on.
A visual version would let me see how each channel get queued in.

They seem like they get turned on and off due to each channel (at least ADPCM channels) having multiple instruments stacked in an order

A veces me pregunto cómo sonaría "Whaterfall" de metal slug 7 con los instrumentos de los primeros tres metal slug

What's funny is that there are some delayed instruments, and neither they play.

Dk 't know if you're still continuing these, but a rendition of this with Shallow Seas would be cool! I really like the composition in that particular track.

What if you replace certain Metal Slug music's instruments with an EarthBound soundfont?

Hello! I am a Korean subscriber!
I'm going to play Metal Slug 3 sound in Yamaha mm6. Can I know how to divide the sound of blue water fangs??
    What program are you using?
Or what tools do you need?
Do you think sound knowledge is necessary?
And I heard that Metal Slug 3 used Yamaha sound chips, is there any place where I can get information about Metal Slug music?
    Please understand that the exact contents may not be delivered in writing using a translator.^^;;

Sure! So basically if you want to "divide" Metal Slug 3's soundtrack, you might need some files first. Personally I don't think sound knowledge is necessary. For software, I use Nebula Jukebox 2.9 (www.zophar.net/utilities/arcademusic/nebula-jukebox.html) and foobar2000 (www.foobar2000.org/download). Now, for Nebula Jukebox, you need the Metal Slug ROMS. You can download them anywhere in the internet. Once you're done, you need to put the ROMS in an external folder so that the music files can be played. If Nebula Jukebox is a bit harder you should go with foobar2000. It's a lot easier. For the channel division, you need the .vgz files from Metal Slug 3, that can be found on the site VGMRips. You'll also need to download a foobar component called GEP (Game Emu Player) so that you can edit the music. If you're still having problems, I made a tutorial video about this: ua-cam.com/video/rVS2MWSZm8A/v-deo.html . I suggest you speak with Division 六 for more facts about the YM2610. Here are his contacts: 6th-divisions-den.com/contact.html

      @@kitsunedj3472 Thank you so much!!
Thanks to you, it helped me a lot with the sound copy.
There are so many different genres in Metal Slug's music that it helped me study music a lot, and I came to respect people who study Metal Slug music like 'Kitsune Dj'.
      Thank you!
