I'm korean and didn't even know these songs existed
and they sound so good !
all these underground and solo artists seriously deserve more attention in korea
there are thousands of solo singers in Korea, but not everyone will get attention no matter how hard the try
There are many solo artists in Korea and they are famous. Rather, it was always sad that only K-pop idols were popular overseas
I’m in Seoul rn and I wish they were playing more songs like this in stores etc.. Sadly only the popular kpop songs are played but I won’t lose hope lol
you'll find some cool places... found a cat cafe once that played some pretty cool stuff the owner really likes finding new music! also other cafes in general will sometimes play less popular stuff that has this kinda vibe :) not the chains but the local ones

ikr!! but i know a cafe named "cafe 704ho / 카페 704호", i often go there and i always love their playlist, ngl i spend most of my time doing shazam instead of studying..🥹 (from what i’ve heard it mainly plays The Poles, wave to earth, CAS, Cogason, OWALLOIL, ADOY, O3ohn,….) + the staff and their coffees are 10/10 imo
Funny thing is, in my area of seoul it's all old kpop and k r&b, i almost never hear any of the newer stuff
it's likely to listen to this kind of songs if you go to a small-sized cafe on a hipsters street, ex hap-jeong on seoul.
When I open my cafe. I will only play this type of music.
