2004 Toyota Sienna Upper Strut Mount - Road Test

  • This video shows strut movement of a properly operating upper strut mount on a 2004 Toyota Sienna. The van had noise at 40+ mph. Thought it might be a bad upper strut mount bushing, so I removed wipers and plastic cover, then mounted a GoPro to watch the strut mount in action.
    This video also applies to 2005 Toyota Sienna and probably the 2006 model as well.
    The problem ended up being a bad wheel bearing on the front passenger side.

    Are you just going straight the whole time?
    Is there any up and down movement when turning?

      There were some turns in there. Watch the sun & shadows to see when we turned. Noise turned out to be a wheel bearing.

      @@CampgroundRecon 0:13 I can see top strut mount going back and forth so does mine when it's parked and i turn steering wheel...
      Glad you fixed your problem...i also had a bad wheel hub bearing on front right side...
