The maximum room rate on the door is the maximum amount a hotel can charge you if you damage the room to where they can't rent the room - so if you shatter the window & the room is uninhabitable for 3 days as it's fixed they can charge you $600 for compensation of loss business (on top of the actual damages). You'll never pay that number normally.
Thank you for that information! I had no idea. I assumed that it was a maximum allowable rate for a room before it became price gouging (such as in the event of a mass evacuation...or a football game). The room we're in right now has a maximum rate of $1,500, which is about 15x what we paid for it. But what you're saying makes perfect sense. Thanks for watching, and for your comment!
Very nice hotel, 504RoadTrips!! In my area, there used to be a Holiday Inn, but that was demolished in 2010-2011. You should check out the Holiday Inn a Express in Ocean City, Maryland when you get the chance.

@@504RoadTrips Is 2023 a big year doing a lot of interstate content?
Looks like a really nice hotel from the pool, fitness center and the room itself. Clean to boot! Can’t believe all the layers on the mattress.
Hey Dave what's up
Yes, very impressive for a Holiday Inn. I was expecting it to be decent but it was way beyond our expectations.
This is one of the best hotels, no bed bugs and the pool is so great to swim in
It looks like a really nice hotel thanks for the tour
Very nice. We'll have a couple more hotel tours in the coming weeks.

One day, we'll make our way up there. We're getting to the point where we're going to have to start flying out and renting cars to get new road trips.
504RoadTrips Yep. Roadwaywiz has flown out to rent cars to do live drives in the New Orleans area.
Yeah. We've met up with him both times he's been here. We're hoping to get up to his area soon.
504RoadTrips Looking forward to it.
Nice video tour.. it all looks like the same one we stayed in Wesley Chapel of Florida..
We've only stayed at one other Holiday Inn Express, but I suspect they're all very similar.
Looks like a nice hotel in gadsden al
