Agreed. The second one lost the essence of the first and became more about shooting for the sake of shooting. The plot lost some of the geopolitics and I'd almost daresay was predictable at times.
What he did, was in no way as evil as what they did to him, his daughter, and everyone else they wanna harm. Cartels are demonic in nature bro. Many trace their roots back to their pagan ancestors. They incorporate a lot of the killing practices from back then now
“Don’t forget about my daughter.”
The look on the wife’s face. She knew immediately they were going to die.
Such an incredibly dark scene. A masterpiece.
If you know spanish, the line "Para mi sí" (For me, it was.) was delivered spectacularly, super cold acting
Spanish class is actually working. I understood a lot of the words in this scene. 😅
It's easier to understand them when they speak clearly in Spanish
Such a powerful movie.
love this movie. sequel is great too. not as good but still enjoyable. hopefully a third will get made but it's taking so long

The sequel just leaned more into action rather than the first one which is Thriller Action almost borderline horror
good times!
Del Toro in my opinion is the greatest actor in Hollywood
cool no subtitles love it
I would’ve imagined the drug lord would’ve had better security then this
ya it was pretty basic and a ton of low lit areas for an assailant to sneak around
Agreed 💯 percent
Children are the future.
And so this Cartel Boss? He has no future.
The moment he said don't forget about my daughter, the wife knew they were dead!!
It's not evil....Alejandro murdered no one
The silence perfectly scripted
Hell yeah
Fighting evil with more evil only worsens the situation.
