- I'm taking you step by step on how I styled my own version of a gallery wall using photo ledges, black and white photos and $1 picture frames from the thrift store. We're doing a fun and easy DIY, painting all of the thrifted frames white before styling them on the wall.

You know, so many times photos just kind of fade into the background and people don't really pay attention to them. This makes them a focal point. it almost hollers hey, look at us!

I’m going to do a photo wall whenever I have my own houses. I love having photos around me. Thank you for all the tips. You can buy so much from a thrift store and change them the way you want to.

Do you think this could be used to go up a staircase, or would a gallery wall be better? I know there are a lot of videos out there, but do you have one on a staircase gallery wall? Is it best to have various sizes? Do you think mats are necessary with smaller sized pics? Thanks!!
I think you could do the shelving as long as people don't bump them on the way up the stairs. As for various sizes, that's just up to your preference!

Wow such an amazing wall! Didn’t you have the most difficult time picking which picture goes where? I would keep rearranging.
No, I just eyeballed it. Stepped back and looked to make sure two photos weren't too similar next to each other. Also check for a good variation in sizes and portrait vs landscape. :)
