I really like your Winslow Leach lighting bolt behind you....... points to anyone getting the reference. And thank you for your tutorials, they're a big help.
Another very clear video with all the steps explained! A lot of other tutorials, including official ones from Affinity, don't specify things like what has to be selected (and what part of it), and other conditionals that determine whether/how things work. You always do, which I really appreciate. Also, yes please to the bitmap vector flood fill tutorial :)
Hi @lpchaos1, thanks for the comment! Part 2 will show a more detailed example with existing linework (a black-and-white cartoon image) and then I will color it in with the Vector Flood Fill tool and add additional coloring by painting in the pixel persona. It should be out in a few days.
Hi @lpchaos1, I have published Part 2 of this video, which shows more of a completed project. I do start with existing vector linework, but I go through vector coloring and then pixel painting. Hope it is useful: ua-cam.com/video/dgrfQd45FJ8/v-deo.html
Good video. I played a lot with Corel Draw my friend had. No without friend I thought to be happy buying designer 2 as it has the vector flood fill, which I thouhgt is similar to Corels magic fill .But naaah not even close to it. Why do I have to select ALL of the objects? Why does it creat extra objects? The approach was good, but the implementatin..... you get it. Affinity was from the beginning far to close by Illustrator and all of its limitations and strange processes to do. Anyway for around 35€ atm not bad, as long Inkscape hasn´t that tool.
Hi @terry2228 , thanks for the update. Yes, it seems like Vectorizer AI recently went to the paid model. There are some other free ones online if you search google, but I haven't tested them out yet. Quality can definitely vary from tool to tool. Good luck!

Ha ha, thanks :)
Great video. I use the bitmap flood for patterns. It’s great. Do a video on it. You rock, keep em coming.
Thanks! I'll make a video on the bitmap feature. Originally this was going to be a 2-part series but now it will be 3 :)
I agree! A bitmap fill video would be great.
Great video again, looking forward to part 2!

Great video. Very clear with so many tips and tricks.
Again, great tutorial! Do you have a tutorial video for a project from start to finish?

Hi @DieTabbi, thanks for the message! Yes, sometimes different tools (ex: Corel Draw) have more convenient ways of implementing a feature.
Nicely done!
