Now that Fora has taken down their Fora.TV library (as of 8/31/18), could you please upload Michael's entire presentation at Cody Books? It's a great teaching tool for screenwriting and I used to use it regularly. Thanks.
If only this guy wrote all of The Force Awakens and didn't have his screenplay scrapped. He was the only one on the TFA team truly loyal to George Lucas - it's so depressing.
I haven't read the popular trilogy of books written by Suzanne Collins, but I surprisingly enjoyed The Hunger Games because it was dark, epic and exciting. I gave the first movie 4 out of 5 stars, a Full Price!! Now the sequel arrives and I'm surprised at how well director Francis Lawrence and the writers Simon Beaufoy (127 Hours) and Michael DeBruyn a.k.a. Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine and Toy Story 3) made The Hunger Games 2 Catching Fire a captivating and exciting sequel for anyone who has or hasn't read the book. The writing, acting performances, directing, visuals, music and messages about totalitarian governments and the importance of symbols to causes and movements are improved in this movie. I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars, I'm in stiches waiting for The Hunger Games 3 Mockingjay - Part 1.
Actually, he adapted a screenplay from the story by John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, and Lee Unkrich. I was dumbfounded when I heard that a man with only two writing credits under his belt was chosen by Disney to pen the next Star Wars flick, especially after the four billion dollar acquisition. I suppose when those two works win Oscars, however, it can take you a long way.
In the screenwriting world, nobody cares how many writing credits you have. Some of the most revered writers go decades without a single script being turned into a movie. They can still make a fortune of their writing. Less than 1 in a dozen script that is bought for a load of money is actually turned into a money. The business is very random, and writers getting credits is not the way they are judged behind the scenes.
I think Little Miss Sunshine is a great kid's story. Even a good/decent family story. But if you're looking for something as nuanced as Pride and Prejudice, look elsewhere.

Da gusto escuchar lo que piensa sobre los llamados 'perdedores' sobre todo viviendo en la cultura americana. Bravo.
Yeah I know John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, and Lee Unkrich also wrote the movie.
Michael Arndt one of the writers of Toy Story 3 will write Star Wars Episode VII.
I heard that Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg will write Star Wars Episodes VIII and IX.
check out the guy who wrote the social network film.
where is the whole presentation?
my last names Arndt to
this is one of my favorite movies for these exact reasons. it reminds me why i'm a socialist.
are you still a socialist?
@@user-bm6de2wz1m not in the same way
You don't have to be a socialist to be against an oligopoly.
GOOD LUCK WRITING STAR WARS, MICHAEL. USE YOUR TIME WISELY!!
He tried. Too bad Abrams and Kasdan ended up taking over before he could finish.
One of the d1mbest themes i've ever seen 🤣🤣🤣
