I made these as pins for my friends who are out protesting in support of Palestine. They preferred the smaller size, I used dmc floss in red white green and black with crochet hook size 2.25. One floss of red and green makes two pins.
Going to make one today and wear it in support of the brave Palestinians thank you for the pattern

Thank you for your instructional videos, I'm learning so much thanks to you. Also, for an extra touch, I added essential oil for scent in the stuffing for the fruits. Now it smells, and looks good!

I already made such a little watermelon slice a bit different.I started with the green shell similar to most people may crochet leafs for plants, but with te compond variants of the fiffentnt high crochets to have a thight structure
It had 36 stitches around the edge so i made the white line as one round of 36 single crochets into the backloops of the green part (the front-loops resamble the cutting-edhe of the slice.).
Than i made the red part with 6 decreases each round until ended in the center and made some stops doring the process to create the black seeds.
Now i´m working a different shaped piece of melon, a cone with a round base of green shell.
Again i work from green to red to have unused green stich-loops as the "cutting-edge"

I think this would make a really fun pillow.

Please mention that when you're done with the green rows the wrong side has to be facing you. I did another row and the slip stitches had a white stripe between the green and white. So I frogged that one and did it like you. It has to be an even number of green rows I think.
Edit: my bad, it doesn't matter what you do, the green line will always be there. I did 4 rows of green, cinched the edge together, then did 24 green st on the white side. Then I sl st the edge together. Now it doesn't have the green line that bothered me. I really need to touch grass.

Thank you for this tutorial! I single crocheted together the opening and slip stitched along the other side in the 7th row or so. This makes both sides look a little more alike, but I might've overstuffed, because my slice is bulging a little 😅 I like how it turned out nevertheless! 🍉
