- In this video I look at the new TP-Link Tapo C200 Pan and tilt wifi camera. No hubs or extra devices are needed you put it on your home wifi via the Tapo mobile app and then you can view the camera from your phone. It has 360 degree horizontal and 114 degree vertical pan and tilt and 1080p resolution. It also has night mode.
With the app you can view the camera real time and setup motion detection and notification. It also ha sound and light alarms on the camera so you could frighten someone away. There is also two-way audio so you can talk to the person on camera and you can hear them. It has a microSD card slot for storing video clips and works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
You can wall or celling mount it with the supplied kit

Thanks for the review. Next time, can you do a bit on the playback UI please? While that's more of a review of the app, it's important to know how easy and accurate it is to use. I own a couple of different IP cams, and each app I use has good/bad points when using the playback features. Would be nice to see this aspect fully covered in a review of this security cam.

Hi, thanks for the video, I bought one of these cameras recently and it worked a treat for a few hours. After this the app now says network unstable and unable to use remotely? My network is good everything else seems alright and I’m still having issues? Tried all the obvious stuff like the hard reset etc

I am looking for a camera to monitor my apartment door so i will place it on the ceiling or on the wall. The problem is i will need a long electricity cord (at least 5 meters long) to reach the nearest plug. How long is the cord that comes in the box? Is a longer cord available to buy separately?
Mines keeps having problems with sd card where I have to switch the camera off and turn it on again to then format the card. Any idea what the issue is? Its the 2nd micro sd card I have purchased from a Samsung store as I thought the first one I had could have been fake as it was from Ebay. It usually happens after a week or so of use.

Thanks for your nice review. Please would this thing connect to mobile phone hotspot on my phone? I know with hotspot alone there can be no remote viewing of images except there's a wifi at home.
Bit of good news. UK Consumer magazine Which tested this and found it good value. They also found a security issue which TP-Link then fixed.
Is there any similar camera with inbuild rechargable battery. So that it last for atleast 10 min if main power goes off.

I've set it up put it on the tape wifi but then I can't use my home wifi on my laptop & my mobile phone! When on tap wifi i can't get online as I get a message saying insecure wifi! I've tried everything. Could it be the camera faulty doing this! Thanks Zara

Recently I have purchased C200. I have activated cams with wifi , after I left my home I can't see cam in the application . Once I reach home and connect to wifi I am able to view cam once again. Is there settings I am missing or do I need to connect to internet provided to change ip address.

hello I have a problem with that camera.. start the installation procedure ... create tp-link id, found the camera but I can't see any wifi networks to connect camera? I noticed that when my phone popup notification to grand permissions to wifi ask me more than one time... have you noticed something like that?

You can only get it on your phone there is no app for a computer

Hello, if the camera is looking towards one direction but there is sound/movement at a different angle, will it turn alone to "see" what's going on, film it and send it to me?

Camera probably works on PIR body heat movement which it wouldn't detect behind glass, microwave alarms can detect movement nearby unfortunately including rain drops lol Some cameras work by detecting large pixel movements on screen image usually a CCTV complete systems

Hello I have bought a similar camera as yours smart and tilt by Orion. The set up is the same. My camera is all working fine and linked to my home WIFI and the app on my phone is working. question when I am away from home and go into my app I cannot see inside my home? question do my phone and WIFI need to be the same? or something is not set up or missing. help please. when I am home the app on my phone works? just not when I am out. hope this makes sense. thank you

I have bought a SanDisk 128g sd card but when I insert it I get the voice telling me there is a problem with the sd card. Apperantly it can't format it. Any suggestions please.

I also want to know this. Whether it allows remote access from another distant network. For example, with it installed at home, I can access it from work.
As long as the camera is connected to your wifi network home, you can view the camera from anywhere in planet. It’s not required to be in the same wifi network to access camera.

When it detects motion, does it pin point and show you where the motion was seen in the recorded clip?
no I don't think it does.
if you click on the notification(letter icon) in the app, there it show a history of motion detected and it takes you to that recording (at the time it happen)

Ibdont see why not. Not for outdoor use would only mean it is not water resistant. As long as it don't get rained on or wet.

I have bought one from Amazon and I should get it on Saturday 23rd may I just want to know how to look at the camera working when I am out and about.
Received the camera and it's so easy to set up and I can also view it away from home no problem. The picture not brilliant at night but just a tip put it on day time light I know it sounds daft but it works better.
@@mrthoughtful1669 yeah. if you live in a place where the is street light I also suggest leaving it in day mode, bc in night mode the lights dont help. make the video look ugly. lol
Rassie Erasmus after you downlod the tplink app and connect the camera with your wifi network, it’s pretty much done everything. The only thing you have to do to watch live feed from a diference place is to open your app on the phone.
how do i insert a micro sd card ? i couldnt see any ports. also how can i set it to record movement? mine is now set up in spain in a holiday apartment that is now empty for months.

This might sound odd, but can you mount this sideways and view the video rotated? In my location it would make most sense to attach it to the wall, but would I just spend my whole time viewing sideways video?
