What difference does it make what color you are about this song? Oh god, what a magic time in life young people will never understand. 1979-80 was great. I had a 66 barracuda I bought from my neighbor for $500 bucks and drove it to LA. Didn’t have money for hotels so slept in the back seats. Walking on Santa Monica pier I met my wife working in a gift shop. 43 years later we’re still together.
Oh man tell your story of hope in this life, write a book, give people the faith! YOU MEET YOUR WOMAN IN A GIFT SHOP! SPREAD THE HOPE! tHE FAITH MY MAN!
54 here too. I couldn’t agree more. Working on a music list for holidays with elderly parents that taught us how to dance to THIS music for this year and this one is top on the list.

It does not get any better than S.O.S Band ! Permanently locked into the soundtrack of my life. The production with the layers of instruments and vocals is perfection.😅
Just turned 57 over here, this funky jam brings tears of joy everytime I listen to it, our wonderful generation under Disco Music will never come back only in our collectible mind. 🕺
My wife and I love this song and the disco era. Best time in life in 70’s and 80’s for great music and wonderful clothing and groups entertaining without all the special effects. Just happy people singing and loving their lives with passion. Didn’t matter what race you were back in those days for you to love music, and everyone got along. Love those days, and miss them. Nothing like it today, so Nostalgia sets in , and hard. Blessings to you all. Richard
Everyone on stage is in the zone and I love it! Look how they moving, that's exactly how I be soon as I hear that intro, just like Cedric on Johnson Family Vacation💯
This brings such great memories ❤ of roller skating at a rink in Metro Detroit. My Dad was an awesome skater who could dance on his skates 😊. He’s in his mid 80s now and only retired his skates recently
Combined with all these musical instruments and the tremendous voice of the lead singer ( she’s a beautiful woman) and the bands excellent performance this band to me is the best group ever! Love the strut of the guitarist!
Summer 1980! 43 years ago and I, a 29 year-old White Boy, married, went with my Wife Camping here in SoCal with two other couples. We set up Camp by a River in the Angeles Forest; no Campground, just the six of us. We had our BoomBox, a Campfire and 3 PUP Tents. Sitting around the Campfire in our Sand Chairs this Song came on. We Rose as ONE and started to Dance! We Laughed and Carried On with HUGE Smiles on our faces. All these years later, I remember it like it was Yesterday! That is the Sign of a MAGICAL MASTERPIECE of MUSIC! Tonight, as a Widower ALONE, I ROSE as ONE and Danced with a Big Smile on My Face! PRICELESS!
Saw the SOS Band with Adeva, Kool and the Gang. Colonel Abraham and so many more to mention at a black beat concert in Hannover Germany in the early 90s. What a night that was.
Oh maan, Good , old times. Attractive people, great smiles :-), music with or for purpose, reminiscent of some loves. Just to add no playbacks. Wonderful, cheerful!

That’s weird. Music is music. Doesn’t matter who the performer is. I would never just avoid a song or a genre because they aren’t my race.
Good music unites us all.
Why SOS was never ever Recognized Baffles me in 2024!
We knew and we recognized! 👏👏👏
What’s even weirder is you can’t get their music on Spotify!!😓
They have a ton of good songs
I cooked breakfast for this group back in a day in Houston Texas sat and chat with them they were so awesome in person
Senior in high school when this came out.
two grades behind ya. LOL
I had just graduated when it came out May or June 79
