How It's Done: Embossing with QLP

You may not have heard of the term embossing before, but there’s a good chance you’ve seen it. Embossing is an imprint method that creates a raised design on an item. It takes two die plates to make an embossed imprint. One of the plates has a raised imprint and the other has a recessed imprint. The plates are heated up and pressed together with your item in between.
If you’ve ever had one of those silicone bracelets with a raised impression around the band, you’ve seen embossing in action. Of course, you can emboss a lot of different materials, like metal, plastic, and paper.
