Hi again, Gary 🙏, yes, there are many Thai food vloggers out there, but your viewers CAN tell which one is the REAL McCoy, and which ones are the amateurs. You are the REAL McCoy 👍. You know your food, and your hunger for knowledge of where your food come from, and share it with your viewers, makes you STAND OUT in the crowded field. Keep up and always keep your hunger after you get your fill.👍❤️
Yes, there are many Thai food vloggers out there but they're mainly just tourists traveling through Thailand creating content through the lens of the limited contact they have with the local culture coupled with the finite knowledge they possess of all things food related. It must be exhausting to wake up every day and see yet another vlog dedicated to having fun with some random Pad Thai vendor in a KSR situation and proclaiming it as "THE BEST NOODLES I FOUND DURING MY COPYCAT $5 THAI STREET FOOD CHALLENGE" but I'm glad Gary keeps churning out these endless nuggets of wisdom as I mark all the spots on my map.
That means a lot from you Panna thank you 🙏 I have so much to learn still but I’m trying everyday. I hope I didn’t come across as bitter, I hope everyone does well on UA-cam
Hey Gary, I've been quite impressed by your knowledge and sensitivity of Thai food watching most of your clips. I was surprised as well hearing the very word ''Hai lum " from you in this episode. Being of the Hainanese heritage myself, I hope one day we could delve into the distinct and delicious but disappearing cuisine that I grew up with in Bangkok.
So happy to be back in Bangkok! The food here is "next level" and makes me extremely happy! Just did the 2nd pcr test nd have to quarantine at the hotel until the result come in.....You are becoming Thai, Gary! They are very picky about their food and it is a big part of their lives.....I'll be hitting the streets again tomorrow if all goes well!!
Kaw Man Kai is one of my favorite dishes, I eat it every 14 days, I like the sauce that comes with it, I can drink that. I always ask for the legs, I prefer that than the chest of the chicken..but the other breakfasts also look good.
Loverly Jubberly, duchess! Your sense of humour is always a winner on these rambles and rants you go off on. Never added KMG to my broth, I just put the KMG in my mouth and add a spoonful of soup to that mouthful. But, I shall follow your decree and break from decorum from now on. Good shout! Loved the opening credits page and I'm very impressed you avoided the temptation to be a proper lad and put "nagging by Helen" at the bottom of it. Very well played, right in time for valentines too!
Howdy Gary - just joined as a member. Glad to be one of your supporters. I've been watching your vids as I'm coming to BKK in March.
