This is one of our all time favorites we've explored with you Mohamed! I remember thinking "I didn't expect THAT!" when we dropped into the chamber.

It would be fantastic to find one of these boxes which is still sealed. Then we would know for certain what they were used for. Thank you for sharing Mo, great video. 💖

Wow ...... it's too narrow for my claustrofobia
I was there just few days ago, and I didn't take in consideration the idea to go inside there.
Instead, the tunnell of that pyramid is one of the easiest given its relative large section (1,5 metres squared) ..... and I easily did
Thanks for posting and let the rest of the people know

If the box is too big to have been moved into the burial chamber, then surely it must have been molded in situ like a geopolymer, even if it is granite.

Thanks very much Mohamed. At 4:50 we see the sarcophagus. I am still trying to find information on that specific lid style. I am making a video series on my channel about them.
The Alexandria Sarcophagus for example, there are at least 4 more sarcophagi with the same shape:
    -Wereshnefer
    -Wennefer
    -General Pedi Iset
    -Djehapimu
The General and Wereshnefer have the same double boat motif on the foot portion of the box. Wennefer and Djehapimu have the same human-headed bird on their lids. My questions are: Why does the General have the same motif as the high priest? Why does the royal audit officer and high priest Wennefer have the same human-headed bird on their lids? Most importantly: Why do these men of different titles have the same shape of sarcophagus? Why was the Alexandria Sarcophagus not inscribed? Why was it found containing three skeletons? Why does the inscriptions on the boxes (Wennefer lid is most obvious) go through the damage?
The boxes and lids were damaged before they were inscribed. The Wennefer example shows scoop marks in the lid, similar to marks seen on boxes and lids in the Serapeum. I believe, just like the inscribed box in the Serapeum, that the sarcophagi are much older and they were re-discovered and and inscribed by later people.
My video is titled "Pandora's Boxes". I could really use your help reading the hieroglyphics. I see damage on the Wennefer lid and sometimes the inscriptions continue into the damage, other times they do not. I would like to know if the inscriptions stop at the damage and continue after the damage. This would tell us that the scribe was aware of the damage and had to skip over that portion of the lid.
Thank you again Mohamed, all the best to you and happy new year.

Thank you so much for sharing! What is YOUR theory of how the sarcophagus was placed in a tomb enclosure considering the narrow opening space?
