Your reviews and how to’s are first class. Super helpful for me understanding some of these features in straight up plain speak. I have a set of 15” ICOA tops and the 18” sub. Massive loud and clear sound
@@DINU_R it can but you going to have to push it to its limits . remember its only 128 max spl . more professional speakers can do 128 spl continuously.
I've just purchased a pair of the icoa 15" active speakers. Tried them in store and was super impressed how consistent they sounded in the room. Excited now to try them live in a band.
@@oscar_thedj Yes I have, both outside and inside… these speakers are absolutely brilliant! Very consistent sweet sounding treble and midrange, plenty of extended bass and I love the use of the eq presets. I keep it flat for a band, though I use the full range mode for any DJ work as it boosts the bass and treble. Works great!
@@oscar_thedj as you already have the sub, I would personally go for the 12s. You’ll end up putting a hpf on them anyway. Plus they will be a lot easier on the back. As much as I love the 15s, they weigh a lot!
At room temp (68 degrees Fahrenheit) a sound wave at 20hz is 675 feet long. A sound wave at 1000 Hz is 13 1/2 inches. And a sound wave at 10,000 Hz is 1.35 inches. So you know.
Robert You are doing a great job man! Keep going!! Fear not because your opinion is very important to the world, and its a gift that you are so caring and want to do a good job on passing on what you know 👌 And by the way, i think these are going to be my first PA set ✌😀
Hello, I am interested in buying two active bluetooth speakers. Among EV zlx 15BT vs LD ICOA 15 A bt vs HK audio sonar xi, which do you think is strong and clear?Thank You!
Another budget speaker that pack a punch are yorkville yxL 15 I don’t recommend alto they get loud but the horns fail a lot you see a bunch review and UA-cam videos fixing and complaining about the tweeter
Yorkville don’t distribute their products world wide they have limited distribution they need to get their act together cause they do have great products regarding the icoa’s blowing horns they are very cheap to replace ,this reflects more on the operators pushing them too far they need to monitor the limit light constantly or as much as possible that’s what I do.
If I have the option to get a pair of LD ICOA 15A, the EV ELX 200 or the Behringer B115BT, with a pair of same brand 18" subwoofer, which one should I get to work outdoor events?
These are 99% of the time 500watts speakers each but from testing woofers on their own they can take more but issue is a 2400watt plate amp would be very heavy.
I feel the LD ICOA 15 are unmatched for outside speakers, best bang for the buck for sure.....
Thanks for another great review and explanation!
I've used EV speakers however I am really impressed with LD. I have been looking at the LD specs on net but wow this is fantastic.
Do they geat really loud?

Thanks, man! A LOT. I have mad respect for any audiophile. I wish many people will understand what we are trying to teach people with how sound works.

@@andrewlukinsmusic thank you so much for your reply, i am debating between 12” or 15” to use with my icoa 18. It’s a few db difference.

Sorry but you don't quite have a grasp on wavelength with regard to frequency. Maybe do a little more homework on the subject!
