Kenny was have to said right after winning on it the first and only time in COMPETITION MAN, THEY DONT PAY ME ENOUGH TO RIDE THIS THING 😳😱🤣 It was so powerful that the AMA BANNED IT FROM COMPETITION His TZ-750 had double the horsepower of any flat tracker and lighter as well !
Yea man I’ve always liked 2 strokes grew up riding them. But never had the chance to see street motorcycles with 2 strokes. This bike sounds like a 2 stroke with a bit of 4 stroke beefiness it’s just got a deep growl instead of a high wine. Even the h2 2 strokes sound cool but never heard one sound like this Yamaha does.
Memories of my Dirt Dragster. Power came on at 6K, was all over at 10 with the porting I had done. Engine design goes back to 1967, and used all the way up to the end of Banshee production.

I had a 350 RD back in high school Mine was orange I think it had white stripe, I didn’t know they made a 400 .my girlfriend at the time we would often take it off roading by Golly I don’t know if it was the bike or me but she still my wife today 40+ years later 😊

I have owned 71 R5 350, 74 RD 350, 75 RD 350 and still have a Daytona RD 400. I always wanted a TZ 400. Very expensive now. I rode all these bikes for about 15 years. They started making my back hurt by riding crouched over. I still like them. Ride BMW now.
Not on purpose we just couldn't get them ready and these restoration bikes must be right when we film them or its pointless to put in all that money and time...some of the best STILL aren't done....
When I was 12 and trying to get girls at Sunshine Skating Rink, the coolest 17-18 yo's were riding RD400's and getting all the girls. Sadly, I've known too many who bought it showing off on that particular bike. RIP. Edit; That's what you call a Rippaa, and no, I don't think that's funny.
Im having a hard time finding a 86 RZ350, the full fairing bike, I loved my 83rz, water cool plus YPVS gave good low end power, Id buy and 86 in any cond if I could only find one.
@into the void , Their very expensive now. Saw one For Sell few years back at Mecum Auction in Las Vegas. All original collector bike. They were asking around 25k. I seen some for sale in England. Not as expensive. When you add Importing probably will increase a fair amount. Check Mecums, end of April, Auction. I want one also, too expensive. Rather buy a Kawasaki Z model at a crazy price.
