The 7 minute clip was better than any movie I've seen in the past year. Nothing better than experiencing the emotion and intensity of an underdog team winning in the lion's den.
I made the mistake of watching this during my lunch break in the cafeteria at work. Now all my coworkers know that watching BYU highlights makes me cry.
Coach Pope is a every parent's dream. I wish my sons had had a coach like Pope. When the day comes (which it will) BYU needs to do everything in their power to not let him go!
The turning point of this game was after the bogus technical foul was called on the BYU bench after a bogus charging foul was called on Fousse. I just want to thank the referee who made those calls for making the game more exciting than it should have been and for turning the momentum toward BYU!
To overcome the Allen Fieldhouse foul call disparity takes a masterful performance. Fran Frischilla (who loves Bill Self and Kansas) once said it was typically an 8pt differential on foul calls at Fog Allen. Fran sees a lot of Big 12 games. Great job by the Cougars.
@@DanParkin-u5d I think there are a lot of reasons people feel that way about the team(s) they follow. Sometimes I think it is justified and sometimes I think it can be attributed to other things like how the players are coached, etc. There are a few teams I follow that really do suffer from a form of discrimination from the officiating ranks, and a few that seem to enjoy a kind of special treatment. Kansas in conference really does seem to get more than their fair share of “the calls”. ;)
Fouss down low, his defender has both feet in the circle, Foul on Fouss Pope: Mr official, how is that on my guy, his defender had both feet in the circle Referee: STFU here is a T BYU: Aight, bet
Felt like I was watching a Christopher Nolan movie with the musical composition - especially in the first half highlights. Truly getting the FULL experience with this video. WOW!
If Hall can play like he did against KU! There’s no telling what this team is capable of!! Great win! Rooting for y’all but mostly Hall! You the QB of the team! Gotta take ova! Let’s get it COUGZ!!💙💪🏾😤
BYU has now beaten Kansas, Baylor, Iowa State, and will soon beat TCU. Gotta remember that we were sooo close to beating Houston too. This team can make some noise come March! 😤
Watching this 6 months later just makes it hurt so much more that Pope, Khalifa, Waterman, and Robinson left. Glad with our current situation, but man I love those guys
As a Utah fan, that was a great game by BYU. I can easily see BYU dominating BIG12 basketball in the coming years. They have always been able to produce high quality teams...on the court at least!!! *sorry, I couldn't stop myself
Ya, he hits Knell in the throat and then falls on the ground later when Knell runs around him and the referees stop the game to review a flop. Amazing!!!
So where did the music come from? My wife is convinced that it came from a movie. I've got a bet with her that it isn't. Can anyone help? The stakes are high.
I had almost given up hope when Late in 1st half D.Hall looked at the sideline then heaved a 3, missed and incurred a foul to stop the fast break. Felt like the Cougs were throwing.
GIANT KILLAHS.... not to take away anything from Kansas's effort but BYU had to beat the REF's as well.... Funny, that Kansas was lamenting missing a player. Had BYU not had to overcome the Ref's that missing Kansas player wouldn't have been enough. Kansas has the BEST starting 5 in the Country hands down. Loved the TEAMS effort.... The D in the 4th Quarter and the stone cold play was great to watch. Dallin needs to work on his Free Throws a bit however....LMAO
@ we dont care....KU is measured by Final Fours...these games are forgotten in just a few months.....KU needs McCullar back to make another run at the Final 4. For your program this was your superbowl...ha
@@timclark2925 Wow, I prefer confidence to arrogance, since the latter often leads to downfall. I doubt Kansas will be making a run at the final 4 this year, but it's possible. They do have a lot of talented players and I'll be rooting for them if they make a run. I know they didn't play their best game, but neither did BYU. The nature of basketball these days is that most of these teams can lose or beat anyone on a given night. It takes talent and a little luck to make a run in the NCAA tournament. Best wishes!
@ they will have a real shot to win it all with McCullar....he is one of the best players in the country...without him they are not good enough....so hopefully he comes back; which is what I said in my comment above; and you had to come run your mouth in arrogance...haha...the arrogant one was you...
congratulations BYU however thank God EVERY SINGLE DAY that KU exists because if there wasn't KU Basketball there'd be ZERO Basketball ANYWHERE including Utah
The content creator for BYU this year is some of the best I've ever seen across all sports content over the years
AGREED!!
Please be an actual employee and not a student who will leave next year 😭
Christopher Nolan 🤝 Director of the Cut

Great game, great team, and great coach. Whoever made this video needs a raise!

Wow. Speechless. Such talent on the media team.
I'm still smiling from that great win!

Isn’t that something sometimes I feel like BYU is discriminated against

“We’re not going to do anything different, we’re just going to be more laser focused on what we do.“ -Coach Mark Pope
Unreal editing, unreal cinematography…. Simply amazing!
BYU has the fight to beat anyone
Love the establishing shot of the true villian of the game at 3:01
Best episode of "The Cut" ever. Great work, y'all!
Kansas' Daddy is a sophomore returned missionary from Plain City, Utah
Easy yo...better to be humble.
BYU might just be the best team in the country
Kudos to Madi Allphin and the rest of the team who generates this incredible content! Seriously, it’s top-level!
Gotta love the CFM references in the post game!
cinematic masterpiece
Man, how do you guys turn these around so fast???
Great video! Now win on Saturday!!!!!
Way to go boys!!! Great win!!
that tech sparked this game

What a huge win for the Cougs!!!
Wow, this is very nicely put together . Great video, great game.
This is art 🖼️
I felt the spirit like three times watching this...
Oh the is is amazing! Love being a cougar fan!
That was a great game and the Video played better than a Superbowl season recap! I felt like I was watching a movie!
Man, that scripture reference that Coach made at the end had me tearing up. Great win!
That Hall scream at the 4:30 mark... my goodness.
What a great video and an amazing win!!!
Love this...Rest of the season is going to be such a ride! We are witnessing history my friends. Go COUGS!

TCU just turned into a huge trap game for the Cougars. Hopefully the team isn’t as overconfident as the fans always are after a big win.😮
Let’s go Cougs! Go win the Conference Championship 💪🏼🤙🏼
That "foul" on Traore is a wild call..
Uh favorite video of all time
Great clip! Great team! Go Cougars!
chills. amazing video
How about Hall's step back shot? What do you think? Cougar power doing it!!
Go Cougars!
More satisfied that Hunter Dickinson lost than the Jayhawks. He's a total tool...
Ya, he hits Knell in the throat and then falls on the ground later when Knell runs around him and the referees stop the game to review a flop. Amazing!!!
I’m gonna cry
Not even the refs could stop yal congrats 🎊 💯🔥

KU needs McCullar back......and you can't miss 12 free throws.......Go Jayhawks!!
True, but at least you have the referees as backup. They were terrible and BYU still came out with the win!

BYU is missing a player as well in Dawson Baker; along with dealing with sickness. Even with some help from the refs, Kansas just got beat.
BYU fits right in with the other members of the Big 12. They hang banners for beating Kansas.
