In this video you will see the perfect balance process for lithium battery with bms Board, - Наука та технологія
i have been looking for an actually good bms for a while. this is awesome
Great video, you have helped me a lot!
Thanks .. from italy ! 💙
Thank you this is exactly what I needed
Nice video with practical setup and simulation animation for better understanding !!
Thanks Nitin..!
Greate video , a big like for you sir 😊
I used this BMS to make a 5S1P Li-Ion battery for a drill. I have connected the P and C ports together, as it suggests you can do in the documentation. It seems to charge ok, but in this configuration, I am able to run the battery all the way down to 8V. I expected it to shutdown the battery at 13.6V (2.72V*5). Do I need to have the Load and Charge Circuits separated to protect the battery from Over Discharge?
Hello, how about I build this bps with 1p and when I connect it to the 20v source, the b3 and the retso always blink, the batteries were all in the 3.25 environment, what will I be doing by balancing the plate? What should I wait for hours?
Thanks mate
Hello! Thanks for sharing. What is the IC you are using for balancing?
1st class video. Thanks.
I had a problem with my diy 10s3p and was wondering why some cells loaded up much quicker and why tha balancing didn’t quite managed to do its job. But with your video I finally got the understanding of the problem! Thanks mate
Thank you Daniel..!
It is good BMS I used for a cordless string trimmer that convertered to lipo
thank you from italy, nobody explained that you had to provide 60mah to balance it!!!!
very good
Yo! Is there a minimum req. of power to charge the batteries? Is the 21 volt the minimum in this case?
I was thinking of a way to add a small solar panel to an e-bike set that would charge individual batteries.
Like in your case you need 21volt and i suspect the circuit eats some parts and charges all of them. But there might be a way to charge individual batteries with very small solar panels? Perhaps extending the battery life and "slowing down" discharge while not in use by slowly keeping them charged and it would select the lowest one for better efficiency or smth. (if possible without changing too much the battery scheme)
Any insight into a better solution even? Like adding a solar panel to the "regenerative" braking input? By controller manipulation or smth.
Thank you for the informative video. I was thinking about pulling out the battery pack of electric scooter to manually balance the cell groups. I have no idea about the BMS model. I'm sure it's a cheap resistive balancing BMS. Do you think applying the same voltage to the charge port and with very low current like 20-30 mA do the balancing without pulling out the battery pack? I guess you did exactly same in your video.
Friend I bought one of the same & it only checked me out in (P-), more (C-) has consumption what can I do?
I bought this board and it keeps tripping when I put over 21v at .5a. do you have any suggestions?
I tried 4s en 3s but failed. Please help me, How can 3S-4S battery packs be used with this board?
good :)
I bought one too but it didn't work for me.
At min 7:59, I saw all the red LEDs on.
What does it mean when an LED lights up?
How do you use the board with fewer cells? One person showed jumping out B1 and B2 and so on. Is that necessary?
Yes my friend its necessary.
They get jumped together and then it goes to B
Pls can I charge 60p 3s 18650 batteries using the bms in this video using a 15v charger?
My 45amp mppt solar controller charge my batteries when I set it to 12.6v extremely slowly 1.5a (all settings were correctly done on the controller. And I have 1500w solar panel.
But when I set the charge controller to 15v, it charges with up to 12A.
My inverter charges batteries with 15v when connected to ac mains. I am scared to connect my battery pack to it.
Please help
Thank You for great video you make all the time , ? -> How would i go about adding active balancing to a BMS that only has passive balancing ? I think why waist that energy in heat ? transferring it to lower V level cell as active balancer do is more sound . Is there some quality BMS with APP that do active balancing i did not found when looking for a BMS ? , Cheers & be safe from covid sh**
You disable the Passive Balancing in your BMS and then ADD an Active Balancing module to the pack ...
Correct me if i am wrong, so assuming i have 4 group of cells and i am using a bluetooth bms (ant bms) to charge it all up. So u are saying let's say the cell is not balanced so i have to charge it at probably 2A first and then slowly reducing the charging current to perhaps 0.18A to let it fully charge each cells to 4.2? Am i right? thanks.
Sounds like it
Dear friend, i have bought the same bms, i've two question for you:
1)is a real 100A max flow?
2)when i measure a battery with multimeter in continuity mode this sounds but no resistance is showed, what is happend?
Thank you so much for everything help
its around 60
Nice video. How long it took?
Why did you connect one more cable? What does the brown cable do?
Need the datasheet of this bms, is there any jumper to join for Lipo batteries, how bms will understand if this lion battery or lipo battery.?
What is the right BMS for 4s 10p battery pack ......cells are 18650 3200mah .....what is the current rating of bms ??
Hey boss! Long time no talk! I'm curious, can I use this bms and charge up to the stated specs. 60amp. I have a 5s3p pack, and typically charge those at 21v 3amps. Will this damage my cells? Sorry, your statement about using 60ma kinda confused me a little. That's way to low of amperage for charging.
Hellooo my old friend.. 😄, you mean 60A charging current? normally charging current is at 40A normal rate, but... if you put some serious heatsinks on the MOSFETs... i think it will work.. about 60ma is equalisation current... if you want to equalise you batteries you need limited current at 60ma..
@@EVCustoms got you! so maybe charge up the bateriers tyo 19.5-21V and lower the current so it will equilize the batteries. do you know if the ballancing is active or passive? Thanks for getting back to me so quick!!!!
@@njfulwider5 Correct! at the end you can put 60ma to equalize them, this BMS boards they make only passive balance (by resistors)
this is very good demonstration
Thank you man..
Всем привет! кто знает какие резисторы отвечают за защиту от перезаряда для включения балансировки, или за это отвечает сама микросхема??? Одна банка постоянно перезаряжается до 4,26 но светодиод так и не загорается....
this is my biggest concern when buying cordless drill...I see the charger only have 3 ports. +, -, and Temperatures. I wonder if inside battery protection board have auto balanced function.
How to find out? Disassemble it..
posso usar essa bms em celulas 26650?
HI friend, the led on my bms blink, why ?
So we should balancing the batteries with the balacing current just the first time ?
This board must be always connected on battery pack
What should I look for in a BMS for a Powerwall with 18650s 20p x 17s?
You mean Powrwall? It is exact from power output an battery himestry..
@@EVCustoms wouldn't I need a higher current balancer with 20p, seems that it would never balance in one day with only using solar.
@@diydan6045 It depends upon => how unbalanced your packs are. If they are well matched packs then you do not need much balancing ...
Hi friend! Hope you can tutorial use this BMS to make 8S BMS! Thank you very much!
It can only do 3-5 series connections
I used this BMS to make a 5S1P Li-Ion battery for a drill work , BUT
interesting basics thanks I guess a 4wire measure of the RI (uner 1Khz) should be added . I have scratched my head a lot with those second hand batteries capacities and processes. In the end what may vary the condition of the LiIon element is his history ; how was it used, charged, at wich temperatures. SO having a balancer module used for the charging may really be advantageous in the long term. If not when we try to recycle a battery that have some smll weakness on one or a few cellules, correctying it with a balancer may be pleasing for the eyes, but it is not a guarantee that the balance will stay in place (on the contrary the weak cells degrade soon, as I was told from experienced friends)
Hi.. can we use it for 32650 LFP cells (i.e. 3.21 V 6000 mah)?
nemate zapojeny b- co je to za podvod?
Is this board suitable for a 18v drill? I know that some boards dont deliver enough power to make the drill working properly.
Anyone?
@@-SoFazesSeQuiseres- I am using it for all my power tools :) Even my with my disc grinder that uses 80A at 20v no problem 👌🏻
Yeah. I use it fır my 18V drill. It works super.
what means when one of those leds is blinking?
I like to micro cycle the battery, and charge it with very low current, if it gets out of Ballance, charge at 250ma to 500ma, from about 4v per cell, to 4.25 max, only when balancing, normal use I charge to 4.0-4.1v, or 3.45v to 3.55v with lifepo4 cells, only charging to 3.65-3.75 to balance!
Hi good day is it possible to use a 35ah bms. But the actual ah of a battery is higher than 35ah. ? Like for instance i use a 16s 60v 35ah. But i use 3800mah battery. So 9 p is only 34 ah not enough. I need to use 10p. But is equal to 38ah.
Hi... Yes of course you can do that, if you mean capacity of battery, you can put also 1000Ah battery...
Thank you.
So what is the use of the ah in a bms? Does it matter?
@@junesarol1782 Ah is max Amps output, more than board max Ah output the board disconnect battery to protect it.
Is that 60 mili amps per battery or across 5 batteries 🤔
Se puede configurar para 3S?
Yes
Hello, can you please give links for all used material, as the BMS and measuring instruments.
Don my friend..!
Plzzz make an battery pack ..with this bms...board...plzzzzsir
Really doubt it if it’s malfunctioned , it makes no sense to me that has to charge it with 60ma in order to balancing batteries correctly.
Did I understand you correctly: you said charge the battery with a lot of amps instead of a little?
No... first charge the battery normally and after that charge it at very low currents by your bms balance specifications..
@@EVCustoms OK. Can I charge with 4A if the cells are 2,500mAh? Discharge current is 3C.
Thanks for the great video sir, but I happen to have a question about this board. Do you know if it can also work like a 4s or 3s BMS, so without every of it's terminals(or I don't really know what you call it) connected to a battery?
Yes this board can work 3S-4S-5S battery packs..
@@EVCustomsI tried 4s en 3s but failed.
Can I make 21v battery and charge 24v current, can hi battery charge
60 mA its not much for a 100 A bms ! Can i add 2 bms on the same pack and charge them with 120 mA ?! 🤕
Yes you can do this.. 2-3-4 BMS in parallel...
@Raj Gj - Why are your cells so out of balance?
The perfect balance is on 0.6 a or 0.06 a ?
60mA 1A = 1000mA
0.6 is 600 ma
0.06 is 60 ma
I`ve bought BMS 5S 18V 100A, it is wrong? What can I do with this one?
Sir is this auto cut?
Yes😊
2:32 What? "If we put current equal to balance current of the board" ? Are you suggesting the input current has to be manually reduced in order to have a good balance? If so, then why bother using this board if it's not automatic.
This is biggest issue of BMS boards...
@@EVCustoms Do you know of any 3S-6S BMS boards that do half decent balancing that don't break the bank? Some are suggesting adding a TP4056 to each cell in combination with the BMS, but that doesn't seem like a good solution for a couple of reasons.
All BMS boards can protect the cells, the issue is on battery balance, is to slow....
@@EVCustoms I know, I'm asking if you know of any BMS boards that do fairly good balancing too?
@@EVCustoms Why are your cells so badly "out of balance". Once the pack is top balanced, it should not take very much Balance Current, to keep them in balance ...
Will ever light all 5 leds?
Yes , bc they start turning on in 4.18 v . And its not a good thing puting 4.2 x 5 = 21v on it . Better put 4.17 x 5 = 20.8 v and red lingts wont come up after pack is already charget but still with charger on it. 🤺

so you cant really charge them fast???
if you charge a 4000mah battery in 60ma it would take.... 3 days??????
The *Balancing* current is 60ma, that is not the Charging current ...
So BMS is actually terrible, so this one is not balancing when not charging?
yes because 60ma is the bms consumption.. even if it was charging in 60ma it would take days to charge a batteryy..... hahahahqa
@@mitropoulosilias No, you do not need to charge at 60 ma. When Top Balancing, it uses 60ma Balancing Current. You clearly have no clue how a Top Balancing BMS works ...
thank you on fake you 😁
los led no encendieron........led not on
r u sure this can charge a single cell??
Why 60ma?
