    This is just perfect, your hands smoothly, seems like no effort to you. You also understand dynamics in music better than most people.

    I wonder if it occurred to Domenico that he and a young woman born over 200 years later would be bringing tears to the eyes of people in the 21st century? I have loved K466 for decades and I clicked on this not sure what to expect, played on a harp. Just. Amazing.

    Wow ! More pianists playing Baroque music with today's rough vehemence and violence and rapidity should hear this . Many will feel the music's shapes and repetitions betterr at this tempo aswell as the types of attacks utilized here . Really enchanted by this music which is so often played so differently on the deeper keybeds and faster action of today's pianos . A really remarkable performance of these two Scarlatti gems !

    Se ve y se oye como siente la emocion de hacer revivir estas dos bellas sonatas. La primera de las dos, aunque menos conocida, es una joya musical.

    If Scarlatti had wanted these KEYBOARD Sonatas played on the harp, or the trumpet, or a hosepipe, he would have written them that way. As it is this is like a cat barking.

    • @nonenoneonenonenone
      @nonenoneonenonenone 5 років тому

      That is ignorant of you. In that era in particular, any music could be played on any instrument that could play it. As such, many of his sonatas are not playable on the harp, but the harp is of that period and should play the ones that it can, but with correct interpretation, ie. no crescendo or diminuendo and correct ornamentation. Unlike this overwrought preciousness.

      @@nonenoneonenonenone >> no crescendo or diminuendo...
      I respectfully disagree. One of the attributes that makes this music great is that it has new depths for each instrument to explore. Also, harpsichordists have techniques for faking dynamics (subtle variations of tempo); why should an instrument such as the harp have to fake what it can make real?

    • @HelloSpyMyLie
      @HelloSpyMyLie 2 роки тому

      Your ignorance is showing. Baroque style and culture was that music was often rearranged for other instrumentations at nauseam. You’re uneducated on the genre. Study music history with great mentors before commenting hurtful things. And it was not like cat barking, it’s shockingly beautiful and I imagine more delicate than a piano would have. The piano didn’t even exist in scarlattis time, but people play on them. Additionally Scarlatti lived in Spain where he was used to hearing plucked instruments and horns which these sonatas give the impression of at the keyboard

    • @HelloSpyMyLie
      @HelloSpyMyLie 2 роки тому

      @@nonenoneonenonenone the instruments absolutely had dynamics. The organ has dynamics. There is no imaginable scenario that a composer such as Scarlatti or Bach could even think about music without dynamics

    Stop with the swooning and practice with a metronome; the tension and emotion comes from the pulse and it's been destroyed here in favor of acting and posing.

      An easier solution would be for you to LISITEN to the music with you ears only, and close your eyes...

      All that is part of the harpist's art. But this is the internet, so there have to be some mean spirited and ad hominem (ad feminam?) reviews.
