Me too! I find it'll be a joy to talk with someone about the series. Instead of me trying to explain everything to my wife who could care less lol. Book 4 is fantastic!
Book 2 hooked me big time, currently reading Mistborn for the first time. Started reading WOT in the 90s, so waited for books. Got frustrated with the slog. The only group in WOT I wasn't overly in love with was the Seafolk, thought they were written as too arrogant and unlikeable. My opinion of Mat changed after he woke up in the WT post healing, he was a very different character from then and become my fav. I loved Mats relationship with Nynaeve, they were far from being friends and yet both would assault the Bore to save the other, while grumbling and bitching about the having to do it. Spoiler There is a scene between Rand and Mat, I think it was outside of Carhien City and Mat was leaving and Mat said to Rand "be careful of Egwene she has left Emonds Field further behind than any of us and regrets it less"
I agree! I think the Seafolk were overly arrogant and just plain rude. That's true, Mat and Nynaeve do have a great relationship in that regard. Yes! That is a fantastic line from Mat, and I think goes to show that he is a deeper thinker than some people may give him credit for
Hi Daniel, not sure if you are aware but there are a couple of VERY short short stories from the wheel of time. (I can't remember all the details but one is basically just a cut chapter from the last book)
Will always be my favourite. Was hooked when I saw the cover in the bookstore when it first came out. I will always picture Lan and Moraine that way. Will not watch the show as it is so far removed from the source material. The "slog" is overhyped. In a 14 book series there are going to some that are stronger than others. Tai'shar Manetheren! Be well, stay safe!
WoT is just fantastic! I agree, I refuse to watch the show as I've really only heard negative things from both book fans and non book fans. Yes! I agree, the "slog" is way over exaggerated. Thanks for the comment Robert!
When the TV show started, I had already read books 1 and 2. And then I made the mistake of watching the first season, which is very bad, and when I started reading the third book, the actors came to mind. The series ruined the saga for me.
@DiggerdanReads I agree. I'm currently halfway through book 9 on my first read through. I'm in the heart of the slog, and there is stuff I don't like. But I understand other people will like that sort of stuff. I did enjoy guys' video, though. I also agree with you on Nynaeve, I don't like her either, lol.
Well all I have to say that the end of the series is worth whatever slog there may be for some. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Haha yeah she's not the greatest imo, but she does have some of my favorite character moments throughout the series.
A pleasure to be on and looking forward to more
Ahh yes, a man with good taste
I can’t wait! I’m excited to go full spoilers
Dan, you can keep him
- Austin
(great collab guys!)
Hahaha its okay Austin, I don't mind being the side piece. (Thanks! Also thanks for hating WoT so we can nerd out lol)
What a cool collab!! After hearing you rave so much about this series I’m excited to watch you “dig” into the why!!
Thanks! Yeah it was a great conversation and I’m excited to discuss the first book!
This is gonna be epic. ‼️‼️‼️
The most epic!
@@DiggerdanReads the patreon plug at the end 😅 2toramble classic move. Very sweet
@@valliyarnl haha I'm glad someone enjoyed that. The video felt incomplete without it lol
We all love Austin… but it’s so good to see rich talk to someone with some sense.
Haha I'm glad you enjoyed the conversation!
So glad there’s more wheel of time. IM HYPED 🔥🔥
The hype is real!
I'm super excited for this, I'm on my first readthrough and just finished book 4, and like you I was hooked from Eye of the World!

I did not know that those existed. I'm gonna have to track them down! Thanks for letting me know!
Great! I was really looking forward to Richard's thoughts on further books in WoT!
Me too! I'm eager to do books one through four so Richard can finally talk about book five
Daniel I just subbed as I do not want to miss out on any WOT discussion & ❤️ for all things Randland.
Welcome welcome! I’m excited host them and see where the conversation takes us
Well this is a moment I've been waiting for some time. It's a pleasure Daniel you'll see me commenting on this kind of videos from now on!
I'm glad we could deliver Tomas! I'm happy to hear that!
Had a great time, gentlemen. Great content.
That's great to hear Scott! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
As a WoT lover, how am I just finding your channel?!! Like and sub!
TBF I have done little WoT content so far, but more to come! Thanks for the support!

I love your Fain shirt!
Thank you! I got it as a gift last Christmas
I just put out a new design last night: “white tower summer camp”
@@weeklywheelnews I'm going through your shop and you have a TON of cool designs!
@@DiggerdanReads thanks!! Been making these for the past few years. 30+ now in the Randland Souvenir Series
Wow! Guess this means you officially made it! LOL awesome stuff
It sure feels like it! Thanks Ben
We back!
All I have to do now is catch up with four books lol
The GOAT fantasy series
The best of the best
I also disdain Nyneave 😂😂
She gets on my nerves so quickly sometimes lol
When the TV show started, I had already read books 1 and 2. And then I made the mistake of watching the first season, which is very bad, and when I started reading the third book, the actors came to mind. The series ruined the saga for me.
Oh no! Well hopefully time can right that right that wrong and you can return to the series. It truly is worth it!
Why do people always have to mention LotR influence for WoT, yet they don't mention Dune everytime Star Wars comes up?
Ya know... that is a great point. My guess is popularity. I feel LotR is way more popular than WoT and SW is more popular than Dune.
Any spoilers before I watch? 😅
There are a couple but I do flag it on screen and give a time to skip to. But that only happens twice
Let’s goooo
The hype is real!
How dare you criticize Jar-Jar, Richard.
Richard doesn’t understand that Darth Jar Jar is the real villain
Wot meh meh meh meh meh
The greatest ever
Greatest of all time? No. Are they good books, though? Well, most of them are.
At the end of the day its all a matter of opinion
