I fitted a set of Moto CNC risers. You are right the top caps cannot be unscrewed like the ones you have. If I want to make a fork adjustment I have to loosen the handlebar clamp to remove the caps. I don't think it is a big problem as my forks are set up how I like them so won't need to get at them regularly. As regards the ride the risers makes it more comfortable on the wrists so well worth the money. As always a really good video, cheers
I fitted a set of Moto CNC ones about a month ago and as you say, the comfort difference is night and day. I commute daily, 1/2 hr each way in traffic all the way and these have helped for sure.
I fitted a set of these on my vfr last year, as I was getting sore wrists after more than an hour. I couldn't feel any difference in my riding position, but I sure as hell noticed the comfort benefit on long rides
BUY THIS!! Here is why. I order this part. took 10 days to US was wrong color they shipped silver i ordered black. I sent email, expressing my dissatisfaction. I got a return EMAIL!!!! They stated they realized the mistake and there is the correct part on its way... THYEY CORRECTED IT!!! Before i sent the email. I did check my email and noticed one from them stating the error. Bottom line. This is a usuable product. And a respectable company.
I own a 2001 and have fitted AMB straight bar. Had to buy longer throttle cables. Makes big difference. Also I dropped front end down about 1/4 inch maybe bit more made handling much sharper.
I have a set of Motocnc the top caps don't unscrew they are gripped by the pinch bars. Takes about a min to get them off so no biggie. I found the machining tolerance on the Motocnc just that bit better than the genmar
That seems to be a recurring theme with this style of bar riser yet I have found no complaint regarding safety or failure anywhere so I can only assume that means they do the job 👍🏻
Yes you have lost c. 50% of the engagement on the bars on the fork tube; the principle from an engineering perspective is not great. Agree though, never heard of any problems in practice but still a bit of a concern.
Hey Kev.. I added the moto CNC rises and found they improved comfort but not as much as I like.. I have now purchased helibars and was wondering if I could just put them on top the risers..I have searched internet but couldn't find anything and thought you might have an opinion lol.. thanks..😊
I switched to these in the end! Honda VFR800 VTEC - Moto-CNC Bar Riser Top Yoke Fitment With Renthal Street Bars ua-cam.com/video/P0Sr3g5Gm90/v-deo.html
Great video as always. Have these bar risers made much of a difference? Also could you please make a buyers guide video on this generation of the VFR800, eg. what common issues to look for. What sort of mileage and year to go for ...
Oh and the comfort difference on the risers is incredible! I have a video coming very soon showing a totally different option to achieve a better ride position!

Hi Kev I have seen comments on some forums saying you should drop the forks through when fitting bar risers what are your thoughts on this please..For the record I have Moto CNC on mine and haven't dropped the fork through and no problems to report...🤔 🤔
To me with the risers on, it seems the clip ons some don't get hold of much of the forks, dodgy to my mind, wouldn't want them sliding off at umpteen miles per hour

I have similar risers fitted, it's amazing the difference that small bit of a rise makes.
Doesn’t take much for such a big improvement

Saving the back and arms!

I've got the CNC Moto on my 4th and 5th Gen. Great kit.
seems like the clip ons dont have much to hold onto with the risers, no problems?

Hi Kev fitted bar risers and foot peg lowering kit , it has helped but of a age that is in the last quarter of the speedometer it is what it is

Hi mate ive got a 750 vfr rc24 cant seem to remove the clip ons after un doing the pinch bolts ? Have you come across this before?
👍 Thanks.
exact same ones as ive got to fit, but im gonna drop them down flush with stantion top
i have the same bike but i want to lower a little bit , i feel them to tall not low how i can do?
Hi. So how do these compare to your standard bars.
The comfort difference is night and day 👍🏻
I have a set of Motocnc the top caps don't unscrew they are gripped by the pinch bars. Takes about a min to get them off so no biggie. I found the machining tolerance on the Motocnc just that bit better than the genmar
Oh so you’ve actually tried both for the comparison? I’d like to have a set of moto cancer ones to be able to compare 👍🏻
@@KevsShed yes, not sure if it was a bad set from Genmar but the bars would rock ever so slightly when fixed.
@@KevsShed Send us your address, and we will pop you some over. Great videos btw. Keep up the good work. moto-cnc@maddison-technology.co.uk
@@moto-cnc2286 Cheers guys, I've sent you an email ;)
Is it an issue that with these risers the clamping ring for the bar has less height of fork to clamp to? This would be my concern.
That seems to be a recurring theme with this style of bar riser yet I have found no complaint regarding safety or failure anywhere so I can only assume that means they do the job 👍🏻
@@KevsShed Thanks for your reply.
Alex Morgan 👌🏻

No as the spacer allows clamping to be of a force as high as before the spacer was fitted.
I am thinking of fitting bar risers to my VFR 800 Vtec 2005. Wolud you recommend the Gen Mar bar risers or the CNC Moto type?
Both are very good but the Moto-CNC ones seem to be easier to find 👍🏻
@@KevsShed Thanks for your reply Kevin, I will have a go at the Moto CNC type then

You can put your Helibars on top of your Genmars. I did on my 'O7 edit made a huge difference in comfort
Great video as always.

I hadn’t thought of that. It’s something that I can look into 👍🏻

Can you disable the VTEC
I switched to these in February 2020. Have not actually felt any difference. still getting tired in the wrist.

If you drop the forks, won’t you be cancelling out any rise?
Hi, buddy. Hope you are well!😉 Where did you get those? Need a pair for my VFR. Feel like they will contribute to an even more comfortable ride 🤓
These ones were from GenMar but Moto-CNC do a pretty much identical product and there is 15% off with the code kevsshed15 👌
Also check out my video with the Moto-CNC top yoke conversion ;)
