Wells has developed a QB(s) and has created very good offenses in the past. Connor has been OC for one game. I think that means Wells is the main voice.

    I'm not totally disappointed,
    2 out of 3 ain't bad.
Tx Tech sent KSU their Provost (Cheif academic officer) and a Football Coach, but kept their money.

Avery Johnson should make Matt Wells look like a great hire. Hopefully, he will be as good a recruiter as CK.

Riley himself admitted Collin Klein was heavily involved in putting together the Pop Tarts Bowl game plan. Don't give him too much credit yet, because we still don't know how he would do when the training wheels come off. We needed someone like Wells, who developed Jordan Love, to help Avery get better. Riley might be fine, but it would be one hell of a risk to turn over the entire offense to him.

Who says Riley wanted to be OC? He was thrown into it and he has to be on the field for his job, the OC has to be in the stands. So that is the problem and thus 2 co-OC's and I see changing roles from what the line tells you during the game and what Wells will see up in the stands so they can banter back and forth. This was more about getting a QB coach that will do a good job and a co-OC like I stated above. Can't judge how Riley would do since he only did one vanilla game...and Avery and any other QB has to somewhat like him as well.
