Very nice work Jordan looks great
Brilliant job mate, Great skill, neat finishing and overall very nice workmanship. I am really enjoying watching your job on the VW bus. 👌👍👍👍
Hope you're ok, if that was your back you need to get that looked at. Great job mounting the engine. Hope to see more of this VW.
Geez hope you’re ok mate, that was a little scary watching you, I get back twinges every once in a while and can relate, not a fun thing to go through.
Nice work on those mounts, I like it when you’re done they look pretty much factory, well done!
I watch Karl all the time too, I come his home town up in Canada, very talented young man as you are, enjoy watching your videos! Have a great weekend Jordan!
You bet Raymond! Need to keep on taking care of it.
That’s Great Karl is the man! Heading there next week to see him and my family!
That’s why I enjoy watching you two, you both explain how and why you do things plus you build a lot of cool things. I bought my first Model A sedan when I was 16 living in Winnipeg, unfortunately I had to part with it in a divorce and always miss it and on the hunt for another. Take care and enjoy your time back in BC
Nice craftsmanship Jordan! Karl should be proud
I ran a Subi 1800 in my Kombi and tried the radiator up under the center with a big scoop but found it was no good in the hot Queensland conditions as it was picking up the road heat, I mounted the radiator at the rear opening and the air coming down through the side ducts were better but I really needed to put a belly panel under the engine to seal up the cavity so all the ducted air would be forced through the radiator in the rear door way, as I found going up long steep hills the temp would climb to boiling. I can't wait to hear the sound of this triple, it should be wicked, and your fab skills are top noch, awesome job mate. Just noticed that your model Kombi doesn't have the side scoops like the later models.
Look amazing mate, always a pleasure watching your videos, informative and as always great camera work, till the next one cheers from NZ.
Amazing work, nice shout out to Karl with Make it Kustom
Friggin Awesome Job Dude !!! I'm so hoping we get to hear this baby purrrrr......??? 🤗😉😎
You should look into the Arcdroid CNC plasma cutter it would be very useful for you and isn’t nearly as expensive as a traditional CNC plasma table.
I have definitely seen it and thought about it, but fingers crossed a big table will fill the shop corner soon
Heck, that moment at 9:22, was that a slipped disc at number 3-5.
Boy I could feel it as well, and actually ended up making custom tool to get the disc back in,
after spending a couple years at Chiropractor, when the first day of attack,
it took two kitchen chairs to cripple my butt out to the car.
If this sounds familiar, I better make you one too. And I'm never getting my spine fused period..
My Xwife did, and when she showed me the scar ten years later,, and how she's now limited movement, hell, no way.
Now seventy, I still fix my blown out disc at will, or it's Massive Pain for a Week.
I don't like pain meds, as they fake me out if disc is actually in place.
Cheers
CLASS all the way
We (that means you and us, ok?) are heading into some pretty cool territory! Good Times!
I love your bluesy choice in music
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!💥💪AUSTRALIA!🤍💙❤️
Fantastic work blending form and function! Those are some sexy motor mounts! Your artistic esthetic that you bring to your builds is remarkable. Go Bennetts Customs, keep moving forward!
Brilliant Jordan.
As others have said please take care of yourself. I’ve had a bad back from my early 20s I’m nearly 65 and still get back spasms. In fact I had one last week, at work that’s still niggling now. It’s really cold over here and that never helps. Take care be safe and enjoy the rest of your life.
Vw and Porsche had a floor pan that would brace the rear frame together and create the air cooled duct around the engine 😊
Bro, if that was a stinger in your back, don’t ignore it! Spent years as a paratrooper having lots of little back injures. I would get them randomly holding stuff just like you were and the imbalance would trigger them. Didn’t address it for years and one day that pinch caused my left leg to go to shit. Several surgeries later and never got 100%. Hope it’s not that and you just whacked your shin but your reaction made me think of mine instantly.
Yeah definitely, I’ve been in and out of physio, dad had the same thing left leg is basically numb
Glad to here you’re seeing a doc. Listen to them and more importantly listen to your back. Love the videos!
I know the pain...been there.
One disc was ruptured, the core was out and pressed on the nerves, so my leg got numb to the toe.
First of all, raise your workbenches and every spot you work in.
My workbenches range from 1,05m to 1,30m height, since I learned about my back issues.
Because every time you bend over, you'll make it worse.
The next thing is...
Our bodys are made for long distance running (more jogging).
If we don't do that -none of us does- we lose the muscles in the back that keep us upright and take alot of strain from our spline.
I took long walks in the evening to rectify that problem, it worked surprisingly well.
The third thing I did was putting a cushion to the seatrest in all of my cars. As lumbar support.
That's all I did, never did physio, no surgery done...none of all the things everyone keeps telling.
Only time I feel pain nowadays is the day after I bent ever to lift a transmission....if I lift upright by using the knees, no pain.
Good luck with your's!!
Dude....my back starts to hurt again when I watch you welding at your table.
Someone invented chairs for that exakt purpose... ;-)
Amazing fabrications! With the $30k price for the engine kit, it's worth every penny to get it right. Looking forward to the full build. Ditto's on the cautions for the pain you experienced. 74twistedshovel was speaking from experience. (You mentioned the drivers side. That's the drinkers side here in the US. lol!)
If you get cramps , like I do ,keep a bottle of apple cider vinegar around. One gulp and cramp goes away very quickly! Sounds crazy but the trainer for the Patriots football team told me about it and it works!
That's going to be sweet!
10:42 a strip of flat material along the edge turning the flat insets into something that could have been pressed industrially would make sense, would stop the flexing back and forth (not that these thicknesses would flex a lot anyway)
Looks fantastic and fits a treat
Will be amazing when all done and the bus will actually be able to keep up with traffic 😂😂
Wow, I just noticed you have 192k subs. Congrats Jordan. I don't think I've seen a custom fab channel grow as fast as yours. I think it has to do with your skill set and the production quality of the channel. Well done! The bus is SICK.
Do us a favour and add your playlist Some seriously good tunes mate
Awesome work 👍👏👏👌
Neat 👍🏼👍🏼I can also do this type of work 👍🏼I once put a 2.5 diesel ford engine in a Chevy pickup 👌soooo slow but nearly 55mpg
I put a Courier 2.2 v 6 im my 73 van. love it now.
Are you gonna put some kind of cooling shrouds around those cylinders, and maybe electric cooling motor? Maybe a squirrel cage fan that blows cooling air around the cylinders with shrouds?
Thx great work , and plz be careful with that back 😊
Take care of that back brother.
Nice work again Jordan, it looks like it will be pretty tight in the engine bay once the exhaust and rads go in but its coming along nicely.
Did the sand bag arrive? Cheers Greg
Yeah there’s definitely not going to be much wiggle room in there!
It certainly did, we gave you a little shout out in our next video so keep your eyes peeled. And again, thank you for the thoughtful gift too. Hoping it will be around for a long time!!
I live in central Florida, very little happens, however I will start on my project car: an ancient Mazda deserves a Lexus V8.
Nice job 👍
Looks fantastic. The triple cylinder also unique. But £18,000 for the engine?
Nice work 🤓👍💯
Looking back it would have been nice to weld nuts to the inside of the frame insert parts. Otherwise - neat project.
Yeah definitely, I think I said it nearly did it but still works just a bit of a pain
Sweet!!
Nice. Looks Great.

#PHILLYPHILLY 🇺🇸
Almost a shame to cover that up with the back panel! I'm sure it will look good, though.
About how much pressure does it take to dimple die that steel?
About 15 ton on the 3/16” the 1/4” took about 30 ton and needed a little tweaking.
Thanx Jordan,
I have some 3/8" Aluminum to do and a 20 ton press. Will have to try a sample, I guess.@@bennettscustomsco
Sweet
How much horsepower will that engine produce?
I believe around 170? But also programable too so there’s more in there- I believe in the near future this one will have a turbo
New subscriber for you, I'm glad to see it's not just us 66 yr old farts that cramp up while we are working 🤪😁 Great job you are doing 👍
Hey mate, what's the music playing during this video? Would you mind sharing band and song title?
GREEEETZ from Belgium how much horsepower can you get out that motor ? thake care for your health man ! whe only have one life
it appears from some of the scenes that you are getting taller or the bus shorter. even with the cover over the top the silhouette appears to be different. Jordon what going on or do I need to get my eyes checked?
Im 60 and know all about those back twinges.realy sucks when it locks in the wrong place.
👍🏼👍🏼
🆒😎👍!
what happened there? did you kick something?
That’s gonna be a bad VW. What’s the power output of those motors?
A bit unrelated, but where are you from? My first guess is that you're a kiwi. But I'm not certain. Your accent sounds like a cross between Alstralian and Cannadian.
New viewer. Lovin it! I thought I picked up a Canadian "accent"🦫
Love it.
Need to see Axel's wheels and sitting on the deck.
Great stuff and love the dimple speed holes.
Yeah it definitely looks good on the floor
Puddin be proud
